Devo’d that The Invincibles part of my trip has been cancelled :-(

But hey I still get a trip to NZ that I didn’t think I would do this year!

Went to cardrona yesterday with a severe hangover and just smashed all the beginner park stuff for the fun of it. Had the main runs to our selves most parts of the day. Not a cloud in site either. Although today the hangover continues and I feel like I’ve been beaten up.
Fingers crossed the other mountains are worth riding still.
Any cool stuff to do when confined to wanaka other then drink?

Wanaka is an amazing place, great food and heaps of walking tracks and areas to explore. Go hit of the rob roy glacier track or diamond lake summit to start with. There’s also water activities on the lake or horse riding near Cardrona if you are that way inclined.  thumbsup

This is such a pet peeve of mine, without clouds there’s no fresh snow! I was on a chair at Thredbo a few weeks back and people were complaining it was too cold and snowy and they wanted the run of 2 weeks of hot bluebird back. Don’t know where they thought the snow they were riding on was going to come from. Give me clouds and fresh snow any day! (bluebird after a big night of pow on a deserted Japan mountain doesn’t count!) /rant LOL

I agree don’t worry! They need some showers up here as no mountain has had snow since the 21st of august.
Cardrona is ment to be the pick of the bunch atm and judging from the 2 days there so far I agree!
Was riding with a few of the fyve boarders this morning and safe to say they’re some top blokes. Showed us around a bit more and gave us some pointers. They were gonna show us some stuff in the half pipe but they had to close it for the day unfortunately.
Body is gonna be stiff as all shit tomorrow.

Nice sounds like an awesome day! Hopefully you’re finding plenty to do in Wanaka now!

Dunno if my body can handle much more drinking hahaha.
Ment to get some serious snow soon at this rate. Fingers crossed.

And yes having mad fun here in wanaka. Played some golf today to recover and it was well worth the sleep in and day off the snow.
Hot tip. That golf course is amazing. I suck at golf and still had a killer time.
