US Road Trip!!!!
So Dan and I have bit the bullet and are attempting (long story…) to buy the Mountain Collective pass.
Moving on though, flights are booked! and we are going on a good olde fashioned American Road trip! We leave on 17th Jan and return on the 1st Feb.
Wooo hoooo
On the list are
- Jackson Hole
- Aspen
- Snowbird
- Squaw (maybe a sneaky day to Mammoth)
Some have already called us crazy… I think bookies are refusing to take bets on if Dan and I will fight because of the certainty they will lose money.
Ski.com are likening the trip to Thelma and Louise - I am yet to tell them that Dan is a HE. Or that the chances of us agreeing to something let alone a joint suicide pact, is highly unlikely!

Its 14 days, not including flying days
We are planning 11 days skiing/boarding in that.

Well I’m treating this post as a “save the date” notice. Just working out which suit to pack for the special occasion charcoal or birthday…

Except for the fact that I don’t have a ring on my finger and Dan is planning a trip to Vegas that’s doesn’t include me!
You should add Park City, UT to your list….... or have no list and just follow the snow. Very easy to ride, drive to next state / mt, sleep and ride the next day - repeat, or stay if the snow is great.
The plan is to only go to the resort included in the Mountain Collective.
Trust me when I say agreeing on resorts was hard enough with that list. Let alone choosing any resort whoose path we might come across.
Although there was a chat about a sneaky Summit County bonus day that first Sunday. Do a few hours before continuing the drive to Aspen.
But yes we are def going to be watching the weather closely!

Def do Mammoth. Mam to UT is 10hrs IIRC - do a mad overnighter (rest when back home), ski (:)) at ALTA, go to PC anyways, then JH, the CO. Wish I was coming…
