sick board, totaly go for it !!
I would like to go to japan or USA this summer but would have to say my next trip will be NZ or Aus in june/july next year. Thats not to say that the next summer i wont be there. So i wont be riding pow for at least a year. 400 bucks is my max and want to spend less than that if i can, thats why i thought the Burton dominant. Does anyone know anything about O- matic snowboards? Also looking at bindings: Burton freestyle and forum recon bindings. Any suggestions for good cheapish bindings?? thanks
The reason I asked about where/when you’re riding next, is so we can factor in whether you can get your tax back when you leave the country.
It looks like you have the board figured out - let me know if you still need advice.
In regards to bindings, I would check out something like the Burton Customs - good bindings on the cheap end of the scale. I think they retail at $279. Most stores would be doing at least 20% off hardware by now, I would think (and they will probably give you free shipping if you order online).
Other good options in the under $300 category: Flux Emblem, Rome United, Union Cadet
What is your budget for bindings?
Sierra snowboards has filed for bankruptcy so I wouldn’t order anything from them!
They are going to be purchased by TheHouse…
but seriously, why would you even support these companies if you could support your local shop. the same shop that helps sponsor contests at your local hill. That promotes snowboarding in your own neighborhoods? I’d rather put my money into a local shop.

It’s not a done deal. There are three objections to the sale. The court will rule on sep 27.
Im all for supporting your local shop, but if sierra was still around i would be getting my board from there. Im a student i cant afford $500 + for one bit of gear

my budget will be around $200 when i actually get around to buying them, maybe a little more. Found the customs for $179 so that could be a possibility. I like the look of unions though
you can get next years Union Cadet DLX for $229 in Aus, can’t beat that really… super solid this year
Is that from ballistix? Anyways i purchased a snowboard. The on that can be seen at the top of this page ( Andres Wiig wig- O matic). I ended up getting it down to $150 which i thought was a great effort. Thanks for all the help, I will be getting the union cadet bindings or the Burton customs for my bindings thanks to every ones help
Hey I was wondering if these would be a good binding for my type of riding. They are mid flex like the cadets http://www.romesnowboards.com/product/bindings/shift/
