Ideas for forums promos/giveaways

Love to write though, I’m behind and around this idea!
The problem with scavenger hunts is that it only includes one city which is most likely going to be Sydney so you cut out a lot of people.
I like creativity competitions as they include every one and you could even make it some thing really simple so you don’t have to be a designer to enter, maybe coolest/funniest/rudest sketch/doodle (no Mizu not that doodle) wins.
If you had a really good puzzle story and only released an idea every week and ran for say 5 weeks then the answer given at the end. The winning answers go in to a random generator. It will keep traffic coming back to the site as you need the next piece.
And “Doodlin” was my forte!!!!!

I like this idea. What about something along the lines of; post a picture, to enter you have to re-draw the picture, judged on a mix of most creative/funniest/wooden spoon, etc?

I like ones where i can use my wit and exemplary use of MS paint to win!! I also have a font on my computer that uses penis’s to form the letters, surely thats a reason enough to give me a prize!!

I always liked the member of the week competition as it seemed to increase the participation level on the forums.
The trip report comps also pumped out some good content and on a personal level got my ass into gear to write up some stuff.
Back in the day I’d put a vote in for the socks and speedo comp but I suspect I’m too old for that shit now!
I can understand why it’s done but I tend to regrettably steer clear of the social media based comps as I get a bit self conscious of spamming my feed but I could very well be in the minority there.
