What about a Random Spam Comp?????
Whereby BW gets a little back on Spamworld, by seein who can sign up to the most social platforms and slip a sneaky BW Store Link into the scheme of things????? 
Photo comp? - Can be tricks, crew or something funny?
Writers comp ? - All this talk about blogging - share your shred stories with us?
Dob in a mate - The silliest thing you have seen or done on mountain?
Photo comps are good. Like see who can get a Boardworld logo (eg Sticker, shirt or even just a logo printed out) with the biggest celebrity or on TV or something (Background of Sunrise anyone?? haha)
you could also do a Daily quiz where you ask a series of complex questions - first person to get them all correct in a post on the Quiz thread wins!

What about a treasure hunt?
You put up a list of stuff to get, there is a set time and entrants send their treasure in for some one to judge.
Pick things that can lead to creative solutions.

I think I suggested one ages ago.You don’t have to pre-place things for people to find, just just have to come up with things that are hard for people to post.
The treasure hunt could be a good one!
It could tie in Instagram as well for a social media angle.
Post something on the forums asking people to find xyz and post the photo once found on instagram and come up with a hashtag 
“check back weekly to see the next item”
level of difficulty of locating the item should be in conjuction with value of prize. each week mix up the difficulty.

I can post an examplee of a scavenger hunt that I’ve seen on another forum if you’re keen to see it.
Basically there is a whole list of items you have to post a photo of (including a sign saying something like “BW scavenger hunt” to prove that you took the photo). Some items are worth more points than others. Whoever has the most points at the end of the hunt (a pre-determined amount of time) wins.
points can range from 10pts for a 3 story card house, to 100pts for a pic of stripes shaved into your leg hair.
We’ve run the photography contests in the past (this is the first year I’ve given it a miss). It will be back next season.
I want to run something purely for you guys, i.e, regular members.
I really like Stellvadore’s idea of the writer’s comp. We have done the trip report contest in the past, but what if we opened it up to a blog/editorial piece on anything to do with snowboarding, skateboarding, or surfing. Basically an article on something you’re really interested in. It would be great because it would also open up discussion on each topic. Thoughts?
The problem with scavenger hunts is that it only includes one city which is most likely going to be Sydney so you cut out a lot of people.
I like creativity competitions as they include every one and you could even make it some thing really simple so you don’t have to be a designer to enter, maybe coolest/funniest/rudest sketch/doodle (no Mizu not that doodle) wins.
If you had a really good puzzle story and only released an idea every week and ran for say 5 weeks then the answer given at the end. The winning answers go in to a random generator. It will keep traffic coming back to the site as you need the next piece.
It’s not a scavenger hunt where you’re looking for pre-placed items. You just have to go and get photos of different things. Below it an example.

-Draw eyes on your eyelids with a marker

-Urinal cake with a lit birthday candle in it
-Draw your user name on a sleeping/passed out person
-Someone sitting in a refrigerator wearing their swim trunks
- Girl with pig tails – 2 of them not just one in the back
- Picture of you going off a diving board holding your sign in mid air
- Hat on fire on your head
- Catch a fish
- You in front of a *known* national monument.

-2 of the same cars parked next to each other

Love it… Probably because I think I am a genius.. jokes!
