Burton Snowboard Sells For $31,313
A 1977 experimental Burton prototype snowboard has sold on eBay for over $31,000.
What are your thoughts on this? Is this the most expensive snowboard ever?
That’s super expensive! But I really appreciate this. There’s some dedicated collectors out there and I would love to have some historical snowboards in a collection of my own. Antiques are worth a lot of money and I don’t see why vintage snowboards should be any different. They are worth whatever people are willing to pay. Imagine 50 years from now, owning one of the first snowboard prototypes ever built. Epic.
1977… wasn’t Burton founded in ‘77? I think it was. No wonder why it sold for so much. This really is a part of history.
