On Monday night over 300 skateboarders gathered at Town Hall to support a motion to finally deliver on promised skateboarding facilities being built in the Sydney CBD. The motion was successful with unanimous council approval! This is an incredible result for Australian skateboarding, with the major goal of a world-class city skatepark being built now well in the realms of possibility. There’s still a long way to go, but this is certainly the most positive step in years. Big thanks to Cameron, Trent and Nigel from the Sydney Skateboarders Association, as well as Councillor Linda Scott for her continued support!
This is great news. Well done to everyone involved.
TFS!
Queensland decide to build three casinos and NSW decides to build four new skate parks. We know who the clear winner is!
