Am I best to go straight to Cooma?
Doing some quick googling, looks like I can get a bus from Bairnsdale - Cooma.
Lifts would be amazing!
I still have to speak to my boss and see where she can pick me up from.
But if there’s a lift from Jindy, I’d be stoked.
Im looking to get up on the 5th.
yeah Cooma should be fine.
That’s great for you if you can go Bairnsdale to Cooma!
Are you working at The Man??
Yep!
Heard it gets pretty crazy there?!
Should be a bit of fun
Unsure if they said they’d pick me up from Jindy, or somewhere else tho..
Did have a lift from Melbourne, but that’s fallen thru.
So if I cant find another way, bus and train it is…
$80 Melb - Jindy isnt bad tho if this “Journey Planner” actually works out.
Hey Matty
Perisher have earlybird season passes until 15th May. $1099.
But double check with The Man that they don’t get access to cheaper passes for their staff.
And Yes Andy teaches park
Cheers
10 days to find a job and get $1000… Mission accepted
Sounds like you didn’t!!!
Nope!!
Work still hasn’t shown itself!
Hopefully a bit pops up over next few weeks, or itll be a very quiet opening weekend!
Oh right - you meant work off snow/before the season!
I thought you were saying that The Man job wasn’t a sure thing.
What happened with the season pass then? Did you get one from The Man?
Ahhh, nah, I start there on the 6th.
Was told I can do an ambassador course online that brings it down?
So hoping some other work pops up, or itll be a very quiet start to the season! Im sure it’ll all work out.
I have a season pass! (bought it before I got my Charlotte job). But I’m right next door so I’m sure I will be popping over to visit now and then.
Will be heading to Jindy on the 3rd (or 2nd). Unsure how I’m doing it yet but it will probably be a bus of some description
and Monday’s at The Man are mental :D also their theme parties are pretty good if they still do them?
Welcome Jade!
I used to ski But due to a knee injury (from skiing) I now board, we have another skier on here, Ozgirl, and we love her just the same as long as you are stoked on the snow (which sounds like you are) you will definitely fit in here!!
Quite a few of us have perisher season passes, and make regular trips! Just let us know when you are there and I’m sure there will be people to ride with!
I myself have been spending more and more time in the park lately (I think at least half of my time last season was in the park) so would be good to have another chickie to ride with! (usually its just me, my bf, and about 6-8 other guys.. Lol)
Hehe h0z, my ride crew is always boys and I’m the lonely lady trying to give them shit! Yay park, this will only be my third season so I’m learning and would love another girl to push each other- the boys just go balls to the walls and I need to always squash my fear and push hard! Look forward to meeting you on the slopes or at oz girls party! Woo!
Haha yeh, I’m the lone ranger on our trips (girl wise) which makes it my duty to give the guys a hard time!!
Unfortunately due to work, I can’t make it to ozs party :( but I will be there almost every second weekend and 2 longer trips (a 1 week and a 2 week). So I’m sure ill get some park laps in with you at some stage!
I think I found the community bus from Canb - Jindy.
Good to hear Ash!
I am heading down this weekend!
Fingers crossed that the system that is predicted this weekend will come off! (actually maybe it is early next week)
Something else to note. I saw on the darkside that the DA for the new super halfpipe (courtesy of Mr White) has been put on hold.
Depending on what time we get excused on Sunday I might do a sneaky trip to guthega and check out the new quad.
Looking at perisher cams is depressing..
Didn’t get around to Guthega on the weekend but heard lots of positive things about the Freedom chair.
One of the most interesting is that there is an 80m (!!!!! yeah thats what i heard) load conveyor belt, which apparently allows the fixed grip to run at a higher speed than normal. Apparently it is the first of its type in Australia.
