Anyone going up for opening weekend?  Doesn’t look like there’ll be any snow, but might be fun anyway.

Sadly no.

It’s a good friend’s birthday that weekend so I’ll be in Melbourne. Honestly not too sure when I’ll be up this season.

Big D on opening weekend Sunday

Got a few natural flakes during the day but not enough to sit on the ground for long.  Fingers crossed for this Fri/Sat.

Gonna head up a bit later tomoz to H’ville as it’s gonna be blardy windy tomoz. Will just ride Sunday instead. Hope lifts stay open!

Most ridiculous weekend at Hotham and I hear today is even better!

Village and Heavenly Valley proved the goods over the weekend !
With freshies to be found for the good half of the morning on BOTH days.tje

I did my firth last yesterday and began to wonder if I had fallen asleep and woken up in another country?
The temps have been very low ( -4) and you DO feel it given how wet our snow was yesterday.
By the time I went inside I was soaked through to my skin.

Recommend anyone getting up there as soon as you can but as you have all said, take your credit card because lift prices, resort entry etc etc are beyond a joke… Don’t know how anyone really affords to do it anymore, it’s become purely elitist and gromville.

Anyone making plans to head up? Blue bird on Wednesday – with I didn’t have a real job!

Had a great day today.  Snow started falling from around 7:00am and didn’t stop all day.  The temps stayed cold enough that it was light, dry stuff.  Most runs were about a foot of pow on top of sheet ice, which made it interesting when you hit a bare patch in the middle of blissing out in the pow.  Here’s a quick grab of a run down Russell’s Runway next to Orchard chair.
