Anyone heading over in Aug?? Im super keen to hit Queenie for a week!!

I only have limited NZ knowledge but I do know that Coronet peak, remarkables and mt hutt all use the same pass. You save $5 a day for every additional day you buy. Doesn’t make a huge difference but it helps.

I spent the last two winters in Queenstown. Coronet has more varied runs but no park. Remarks is more fun for hitting the park and the shadow basin which has some chutes and a couple of cat tracks that take you down a bit steeper and more off piste terrain. I’d try both if you can.

From what I remember cardrona and remarks had the best in the way of parks, so make sure you head there if thats what youre into. Also, must do’s in queenstown: ferg burger and the nevis bungy!  shaka

So I went to NZ for 7 days for a little holiday and for my girl to be granted her Visa. Queenstown just blew me away what a spot! ... Reminded me of European towns near the mountains.

So in the future I may go for a season to ride or even just a holiday ride. How hard is it to get work in the winter there?

whats the go with transport options from queenstown to wanaka, wanaka to the mountains and queenstown to the mountains? im assuming there would be multiple buses all day until late?

Welcome to Boardworld, strictlymitch.

Have you considered hiring a car for the duration of your trip?

That’s what two mates and I did when we were there. Worked out to be reasonably priced and gave us ultimate freedom to do what we wanted, when we wanted.

thanks man smile
yeah dude we have but being only 19 still and being on a strict budget we arnt sure if we could afford it. im assuming it would be a fair bit for 2 weeks. ill have a shop around but and see what the go is

well after some shopping around no one will hire a car out unless one of us has a full license or is older then 21 anyway. so there goes that option haha
