In my opinion, it probably comes very close. Maybe Nyjah’s very own GQ commercial campaign was slightly worse. You be the judge.
For those who don’t understand the hate Nyjah gets within the skateboarding world, look beyond what he does on a board. Think of Shaun White’s place in snowboarding and you’re on the right track. Sure, he’s the best at what he does, but he doesn’t come close to embodying what skateboarding is about to most people. Between heinous sellout ad campaigns like this, his selfish mentality at contests, his stance on who deserves to skate (“girls don’t belong in skateboarding”), crying when he loses at comps and his overall arrogant attitude, it isn’t hard to see why the skate world have tried to disown this guy.
He’s the best at skateboarding, but terrible at being a skateboarder.

I actually like this one because it’s done comically…if you’re going to do an ad for a deodorant company, that’s the way to do it without looking like a total kook.
