The 2010/11 TTR World Snowboard Tour kicked off a couple of days ago in Whistler, Canada. I will update this thread over the course of the TTR season, with photos, videos, and results.
The Billabong Ante Up had a 5 star rating and was the first event of the tour. The event was held at the Camp of Champion terrain park on the Blackcomb Glacier, and featured a massive 75 foot gap jump.
The Canadians dominated the event, with Sebastien Toutant (CAN) taking the top spot making him $20,000 richer. He also secured an automatic invite to the Billabong Air & Style in Innsbruck, Austria.
Coming in second place and winning $15,000 was Matts Kulisek (CAN) who landed a backside 1260 double cork and Mark McMorris (CAN) took third place earning $10,000 for his frontside 1260 double cork.
The level of riding was just insane. Check out the video below.
TTR Burton European Open 2011
Now that snow is covering the mountain peaks and temperatures are dropping, Burton Snowboards and host resort LAAX are gearing up for the 12th annual Burton European Open (BEO), taking place from January 8– 15,2011.
Over the years, the BEO has grown into Europe’s biggest on-snow event, showcasing the crème de la crème of international snowboarding and contributing to the progression of the sport with innovative slopestyle courses and a perfect superpipe. The BEO is also the premier breakthrough competition for upcoming riders, who often kick-start their snowboarding careers after excellent results in LAAX.??Snowboarders like Olympian Peetu Piiroinen (FIN) and Enni Rukajärvi (FIN) got their start at the BEO where top results gained them international attention in the early days of their careers.
The BEO is the second event of the 2010/2011 Burton Global Open Series and a 6Star TTR event where more than 400 riders – women, men and kids – have the chance to compete for prestigious titles, a piece of the $125,000 USD prize purse and key ranking points for both the TTR as well as the BGOS.

TTR NISSAN STOMP IT 2010
The 4Star Nissan Stomp-It went down this weekend in Modena, Italy where Gerome Mathieu (FRA) took home his first 4Star TTR title. Set in an urban environment outside the convention halls of the Skipass tradeshow, the event had a great turnout despite the challenging weather conditions. Mathieu took home 8000 USD and 500 TTR ranking points for his first place win, local Italian rookie Marco Grigis took second place and third went to Jaakko Ruha (FIN), who also received the 2000 USD and the “Styleman” title with his Frontside 900 Indy.
Swiss riders, Stephan Maurer who placed 4th and Markus Keller who took 5th place, put on a show in the finals for the Italian crowd. Maurer was attempting to land his huge Double Backflips 180’s and Keller went for the Double Corks after landing a Double Backflip. With these results both have moved up into the TTR Top 100, placing them into a great position for the up and coming winter season. Keller said “I am planning to join the whole tour and bring home solid placements for all seven TTR results in order to go for the World Championships!” The TTR/WSF World Snowboarding Championships are going to be hosted in Oslo, Norway 2012.
Next on the Swatch TTR Tour is the 4Star Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam in Austria in two weeks time and in December the 6Star Oakley and Shaun White present Air & Style Beijing will be gathering the superstars of snowboarding in China.
