Halfway through season two, downloading them week by week.
About a week until Game of Thrones season 4 begins. Re-reading book 3 at the moment 
Polished off House of Cards season 2 and True Detective over the past month. Both amazing examples of TV drama owning movies!
we watched the first episode of True Detective and both thought it was a bit slow.
watched 2nd episode and Freddy fell asleep and I began to strongly dislike Woody’s character. Fred thinks its too slow and refuses to watch anymore episodes and I’m not sure I like it enough to download episodes to watch on my own…Does it get really exciting episode 3 or something?

Yeah it is definitely a bit of a slow burn and the content is pretty dark. It does ramp up after a few episodes as things are unveiled and the last couple of eps are almost silence of the lambish. The real stength of the show is the tension, the dialogue, the landscape shots and the damaged characters (you’re not meant to like woody’s character)
Not for everyone but a good one to have ready to go if you are in that kind of mood.
Just burning through House of Cards S2, addicted is an understatement.
True Detective will be my next DL once i get back to civilisation again.
I tried watching true detective and couldn’t stick it out. Too slow. My friend was telling me yesterday I have to give it till episode 4 but I dont reckon there’s much chance if me sitting through that much mumbling!
I recently watched the first season of Orange is the new black and LOVED it. Can’t wait for season 2.
Also finally started watching mad men cos I wanted something new to watch on the flights to/from Malaysia. Quite enjoying it so far.

Haha FU is a god (or probably more accurately Satan) A few years back I would never have picked a show about american politics would be one of my favourite’s. I’m basing my upcoming day in Washington DC around the HOC opening credits.
As a fellow red blooded male there is a particular scene I think you’ll enjoy in TD E02

Hah ironically I found OITNB a bit dull. I enjoyed it enough to push through it but I thought it could have been so much better, I guess I was hoping for a darker grittier prison show. It also didn’t help that I really didn’t like the main character. Still a fantastic effort by netflix to pump out two big hits as a “small” internet company (OITNB and HOC)
Mad Men is one of my all time favourites, looking forward to the final season but will also be sad seeing it go after so many years.

I haven’t read the books but from those who have I’ve heard it should be a great season.
The bigger decision is do I let a few come out first then binge watch or suffer through watching week by week???

Damn straight! The book that this season was based on was by far my favourite. Can’t wait to see how they portray it on TV! I have high hopes.
last season (3) was only half of book 3….this season will be the rest of book 3 and bits from 4 and even some bits from 5 apparently!
So pumped for it….but also trying to decide whether I will download week by week or wait til the end….we are going out on a sailing adventure half way through may so if I start watching week by week I’ll have to stop just after half way through the season!
But I want to see it so bad that I suspect I’m going to give in and watch it anyway. Am re-reading book 3 and 4 in preparation!
