Looking at taking me first trip overseas for a boarding mish. 2 of us going, he’s advanced I’m intermediate. He’s done seasons in Canada in past I’ve done nowt. He’s happy to stick with me where we currently board (ruapehu) as it gives him chance to recover , dodgy knees and all that, as I catch up.
Interested in opinions in either North America or Japan (or Korea). Thinking week to 10 days probably late jan early feb.
Just ask if you need more info, all recommendations are appreciated, cheers
Personally with 10 days I’d probably head to Japan.
Flights are cheaper, it’s closer, less time difference to deal with so the jet lag wouldn’t be too bad. Oh and great pow.
^^^^^ Yep!!!!!
Japow is closer, similar time zone, amazing powder, awesome food, great people!!!!!
Agree with the v other two. If you had longer I’d say head to N.A., but with only ten days Japan it is because you won’t need much recovery time after getting there or coming back.

^^ what she said!
Absolutely get on the Japan bandwagon, it is hands down the best snow in the world. And most people who have travelled the world boarding will agree.
Some tips:
Jan and Feb are the best months…however if you go in March you can save a lot of money and likely still get tons of quality pow.

Ended up going to copper, Colorado. Had a total ball. Locals claim it the best season in 10yrs. Can’t recommend the place highly enough - especially getting free lift passes !!
Maybe japan next time tho
Awesome!
Copper is one of my fav resorts!
Free lift passes always a bonus!
