Hahahaaa, can ya still buy the tapes?????
I have loads of tapes.
My entire childhood was pretty much captured on Beta.
Might have to borrow off you and use as a player!
I threw out all media that was on tape years ago!!!!!
I’ve kept my vinyl collection though!!!!!
* Any important stuff I transferred to digital!!!!!

That’ll teach it for givin me an error/privilege/bullshit message!!!!!
Thanks for telling us that many times Mizu!
Problem was/is that we no longer had a player prior to digital being as big as what it is.
But we always had access to a player at multiple television stations (until they got their entire libraries onto digital)
Now we no longer have the access :-(
My Dad wont hand them over to someone else though! Makes things difficult!
While in the shed yesterday I found two unopened boxes of blank VHS tape (about 60 tapes) and around 100 VHS movies; that I had packed away when I went digital.
I’ve never known anyone that had Beta tapes. I still have VHS, can still watch on our vhs/dvd player, but have to admit the handful of VHS in my pparents basement, it’s convert or die these days
I remember my brother spent $2000 on a Betacam 30 odd years ago!!!!!
He was the only one to have a Betamx Player in our house too!!!!!
The video stores were divided in half back in the day, as Beta and VHS were on par with users at one stage!!!!!
Now there’s no need to even go to a video shop at all?????
Ahhhh, the good old days!!!!!
I remember having limited options to rent at the video store until they got rid of them altogether (beta). I remember having to travel a few suburbs towards the end to the only store who stocked them!
My dad did eventually by a VHS - but he held firm for a long time!

I go to the video shope alllll the time. No computer, so no downloads but even if I did I would still be out renting movies like it’s 1999
No need for a computer!!!!!
A Smart TV, Smart DVD/DVB or a Media Player hooked up to a standard TV will do the trick!!!!!
I can definitely see the old Video Store as a thing of the past, some time down the line?????

I dont have a tv or a dvd player either. Sold everything I owned before my last trip and now just saving for my next adventure so I wont be buying shit like that. I hope there will always be video shops
