Winter X Games - Aspen 2014 Thread
The Winter X Games are set to begin at Aspen in the coming days, with Slopestyle, SuperPipe, Big Air and Snowboard X events. I figured this could be the discussion thread for everything to do with the event.
Should be an interesting one with the Olympics just around the corner. A few of the Olympians (Shaun White being one) have pulled out of the event, but guys like Torstein and co will still be around.
Really looking forward to watching some X Games over the weekend. It’s starts on ESPN Live at 1:30 tomorrow in Aus (24th). I have series linked it on Foxtel and have a mate coming over to sit and watch as much coverage as we can on Saturday!
think im going to stay at the parents tomorrow night to watch this.

Okay so since i am a dork… (re: bored at work!)
I have got the xgames schedule and converted the time.
Tomorrow the slopestyle snowboard elimination round starts at 6.30am SYD time.
Super pipe elimination is from 1pm SYD time.
On Saturday our time
Boarder X final is at 4.30am
Big Air is from 1pm Saturday - this is the USA broadcast times.
I am assuming we take a live feed from that.
t 1:30 tomorrow in Aus (24th)
So I just downloaded to Foxtel guide app and it says tomorrow it is only 1 - 3pm
Claims it is “live” yeah right…. 2 hours only 
8.40am to 10am on Saturday and ESPN2 from 3 - 4.30pm
So from the above the only events we have any chance of them showing LIVE is
Tomorrow - Snowmobile final on at 7pm Denver time which is 1pm SYD
Saturday
NOTHING! Not even a skiing event!
The exact Saturday SYD schedule
Remember our ESPN only airs from 8.40am - 10am SYD
10.30am - 12.30pm MT/ 4.30 - 6.30am SYD - Mens & Womens Boarder X Final
The mens ski slopestyle elimination ends at 8am SYD (our only Aussie Russ Henshaw competing)
The womans ski pipe is 11.30 - 12.30pm SYD
Then ESPN2 airs 3 - 4.30pm
7 - 8.30pm MT / 2.30pm SYD - Mens Snowboard Big Air Final
So yeah we join in 30mins after it ends 
On Sunday
ESPN airs 6.30am - 10am
okay we get a bit of action here
12 - 2.45pm MT / 6 - 8.45am SYD - Mens & Womens Snowboard Slopestyle Final (cross over of 45mins!)
The GoPro Ski Big AIr 1.30 - 3pm SYD
ESPN 2 airs 1 -3pm
Yes there are other sports I haven’t mentioned and will probably be shown.
But there will be no chance of anything live that I can see….

Aussie Cam Bolton through to Boarder X finals at X Games and Aussie Scotty James through to snowboard pipe finals.
Torstein Horgmo did not make the finals for Big Air

Canadian Max Parrot has won gold in the Men’s Slopestyle, while Kelly Clark has taken out the Women’s SuperPipe gold.
