Billabong Pipe Masters in Memory of Andy Irons 2013

Well today is the first day of summer. Wooohooo!! That means warm water, board shorts, bikinis aannddd a lot of flat days.

However the Hawaiian winter and its big swells is just getting started and with that is the start of the Billabong Pipe Masters.

This event is set to be a cracker for the world title race between Mick and Kelly. Of course being the aussie aussie aussie i am i wanna see Mick get his 3rd title. The guy has been in red hot consistent form all year. But we all know Kelly is Kelly and can come from no where to clinch a win. #GOMICK

Mick missed out on going straight through to the Quarters and will now face CJ Hobgood in Rd 5.  He was either going to face Julian Wilson or CJ in Rd5 but was looking like it was going to be JDubb until he got an interference against John John Florence and dropped to third.  Personally I have no idea which match up is worse?  CJ is a pipe specialist but JDubb is a freak.

Day 2 highlights

Kelly looks like he’s on fire! How tense is this. Come on, Mick!

Yup this is HUGE and so is the swell forecast for tomorrow. 10-12ft pipe. Its set to be one of the biggest pipe show downs in all the history of the land (and water)
