Would you rent a snowboard using this phone app?

Signal Snowboards founder Dave Lee signs on as an ambassador for new rental service and mobile app Spinlister.

There’s a new way to rent a snowboard and you can do it all from your phone, it’s called Spinlister. The new gear rental service and App for iOS and Android has joined forces with Signal’s founder, Dave Lee. The new innovative Rent-Your-Ride service is much like AirBnB for gear.

“As soon as you use the app you get it. The filters are great, the in-app messaging is key, and it’s really easy to use. It’s riders supporting riders, much like the early days of snowboarding,” says Dave.

The service/app allows you to list snowboards and rent snowboards anywhere in the world. You set a price as a lister and find a price you like as a renter. And if you get a request or make a request it’s all done within the app.

Once it goes through the renter gets paid and rider gets the board they chose. All listings are GPS located so you can find the closest boards to you. There are no lines, no issues. Everything is exchanged through the app and listers are completely covered through the Spinlister insurance policy.

Sign up now and fund your winter. Use your board to raise money to buy a new one. Reps, list your boards. Get people on good product and make money while doing it.

Spinlister began with bikes in 2012 and is now offering the service to snowboarders for the upcoming 2014 season.
