Late Jan/Early Feb ,although technically peak season, plus havin Chinese New Year bang smack in the middle for 2014, there’ll still be more than enough powder to keep ya satisfied!!!!!
Lifts in Hirafu run from 8:30am to 9:00pm so, and sometimes combined with consecutive days where it never stops pukin!!!!!
You will find that the only real lift line is at the Gondoras first thing in the mornin, then pretty much a non event after that!!!!!
Niseko Snow Report, 12 November 2013
Posted on November 12, 2013 by Glen*33.5cm of fresh snow has fallen in the last 24hrs in Hirafu Village. At 7:00 today the temperature was -4°C.
Cheers Mizu! Definitely gonna take a look at Moiwa, planning on being in the area for around 4 weeks so plenty of time to hit up everything. I take it that late Jan early Feb would be crowded by Niseko standards?
Off Piste in Niseko is a pretty organised deal!!!!! Probably how every resort should do I reckon!!!!!
They have a series of gates that they open dependant on Avalanche risk!!!!! Note that they do not patrol these gates areas either, so make sure ya ride with mates!!!!! You will pay if they need to get you out of there too, so make sure ya insurance covers it!!!!!
They’re also pretty organised with back/side country tours, and have several companies that will show you the way!!!!!
Haven’t been to Moiwa but a few say its well worth a look, mainly for the lack of crowds!!!!!

Booked for feb! 5-19th staying at full note 4 dudes and got 4 guided days and few day trips to moiwa rusutsu and kiroro too through fellas at whiteroom tours. This is my first time outta Aus for snow and super stoked!
That trip will be EPIC!!!!! 
Even though I’m not goin to Niseko this season, I thought I’d start a thread so I can slowly torture myself to death!!!!!

Yeaaah boi! Its happenin, just confirmed accommodation in Hirafu (Lower village) from the 15th to the 29th of January. Hopefully check out Rusutsu while I’m in the area!

If there is snow on the road you could I suppose! Although crossing the main road might prove difficult!! 
There are free buses or walk - it’ll do you good! 
Very possible, but frowned upon!!!!! And actually against the Law!!!!!
You’ll see others doin it (And mainly Skiers), but I won’t do it, cause I don’t want the Japanese to think lowly of us Aussies!!!!!
