Launch Snowboards New Beyond bindings

Avatar

Guys you know I’m a sucker for new tech any thoughts on these bindings? I can see them good for park use cause you constantly strapping in and out but I don’t know hokw much of a improvement this is hmmm

I don’t really see the point of them? It’s like a step-in, but you still need to do up your straps?

The bit I really don’t like is the binding strap. It looks like there’s no strap/padding in the middle, where you exert the most pressure! Also, a lot of moving parts just means it’s easier to break.

I always appreciate innovation but these bindings aren’t for me. If you really want binding tech, look at a brand like NOW.

Yeh i dont really get why…

I see what they did there oh oh

Everyone knows that the best binding are the good old 2 strap. It’s the most common for a reason.
So rather than making bindings like Flows that sacrifice control for strap in speed. They took the normal bindings and made it so the straps are out of your way when your step in, then move into position once your foots in. Quite a clever idea really.

But would I use them? ONLY if they feel as good as normal bindings. There’s no chance in hell I would ever sacrifice control for a few seconds strap in time.
Cause the only time they save you really is doing the annoying little “point your toe and twist your boot in under your straps” thing.

I like it! But only if it’s the same feeling and as durable.
Would Demo.

Rome 390 bindings (and possibly others) had a clever little rubber piece on the side of the ankle strap to hold the strap out of the way when stepping in. Problem solved. I don’t see how this is quicker or better.

K2 has a hinge on their ankle strap which keeps it right out the way too.

FLUX have a pre bent kink in their straps for the same reason!!!!!

Hahaha ok well I guess these guys got beaten to the punch. I would rather not have a movable heel cup.

Why do none of my favourite bindings have little hingey things?!
The Rome 390 Boss bindings are… not like a boss.
Haven’t tried flux yet, but Mizu loves them, so I refuse to use them wink

Haha they are bosslike,

Ive strapped into two different friends 390 Boss and didnt like them

My main hate is the toe strap comes off my rear foot after jumps. Apart from that i cant fault them.

I second that I got my 390 Boss on my Evil Twin for park use and they rock! That Lil rubber piece works very well and it’s tension adjustable. Too add ankle strap on 390 boss is super comfy like outstanding. Those bindings rock and are solid only thing that breaks on them is the paint but this ain’t no fashion contest grin
