Want me to spot you a few $$$ for a tutor Miz?
Perhaps if you took a few remedial reading and comprehension lessons, you wouldn’t jump to ignorant conclusions, and wouldn’t feel stuck back in the “schoolyard”?
And perhaps if you realised that it was in reference to your articulate use of the word “Duh”, is the reason why you won’t be seeing me attend the remedial reading class that you’re in!!!!!

Actually mate, now that you’ve got nothin goin on, maybe you can read Golden Books to me so I can understand the complexity that is “Chucky”?????
I’ll pay you in Bubble Gum and Marbles?????

And perhaps if you realised that it was in reference to your articulate use of the word “Duh” . . .
I was well aware of that. Evidently, “Duh” was the only word you were capable of reading and/or comprehending.
. . . the reason why you won’t be seeing me attend the remedial reading class that you’re in!!!!!
Plays the “schoolyard” card. Backs it up with the old “I know you are but what am I?” classic.
Duh.
You’re like that annoying Chihuahua that lives in everyones street!!!!!
Ya wanna like it, and ya feel sorry for it cause of it’s stature and funny little barking noises that it makes, but somehow ya just wish it was in someone else’s street along with the other Chihuahuas!!!!!

Duh.
That’s why I used it!!!!!
Duh!!!!!
Sure. Suuuuuuuuuure it was.

Thems fighting words.
If the bubble o bills nose was made out of hubba bubba, then i may agree with you.
The nose is way too hard
- No the Olympics certainly don’t represent everything we do. But it was just an example of how the snowboarding is staying strong. The Skiers are coming back you know! Also, did I celebrate Slopestyle becoming an olympic event? Damn right I did!
I didn’t see anything to celebrate, because of the FIS/IOC expecting competitive snowboarders to just bend over and take it (in regard to qualifying events). Oh, and the FIS will ensure that skiers do a lot more than just come back.
- I don’t really know of a time when he has been a dick to anyone.
You’re right. If anything, it seems like he’s really grown up lately - into quite a nice guy. However it’s not really the “to anyone” aspect that some people seem to object to, it seems like it’s more the fact that he’s different from the average pro rider. Snowboarders evidently have a habit of hating on anyone who deviates substantially from the norm. You don’t have to go any further than these forums for evidence of that.
- He may have a slight ego. Much less than most athletes at the top of their game. But more than most snowboarders I guess. I’ll give u that one, but I’ve never thought “geez this guy loves himself”. It’s pretty slight.
I dunno, he seems dead keen to play out the whole rockstar persona - but a lot of it could be just an act?
Does the name Jayson Onley ring a bell? He was the first Aussie pro rider to become a ‘star’, earning the nickname ‘Hollywood” in the process. I spent a few weeks riding OS with him and I have to say, when he was in self-promoting, marketable pro snowboarder mode, he was a total dick - but out of the spotlight he’s a really nice guy. Perhaps SW is a bit like that too? (though Jay never sold scooters)
That was hilarious to come back to this thread! You monkeys had a 3 hour intermission from the conversation to throw poo at each other. Then straight back to business
Anyway, yeah he does seem to want to be well into the rock scene. I know he wears the tight cloths for aerodynamic reasons but they are more rock star than snowboarder. Also I just saw his band play and I was like “Come on dude, do you have to do everything?”
But to my surprise they were actually not too bad. And then I realised that “rock” is probably his own sense of cool. Highly skilled people still have their own idols sometimes.
I gave Torstein a ride to the club last season and rather than talking about snowboarding, he just wanted to know all about “What speakers I put in my car?”, “What music I listen too?” etc. From that and his videos, it looks like he’s keen to be a producer or DJ on the side.
Music and any kind of boarding have pretty heavy ties after all. Lots of skaters and boarders like to change their clothes to show their music influences. I like the rock look in boarders, I just don’t like the tight pants.
Everyone loves Golden Gaytimes as much as Deano, but that doesn’t mean you have to show everyone your popsicle.
Btw, I saw this old poster in a corner store in Gwandalan. I wanted to take a picture so bad, but knew I couldn’t explain it to the shop owner who didn’t speak much english lol. Glad I could find it on the net.
It sure is.
