So, there’s been a bit of discussion in the Daily Chat Show Thread, I thought it might be worthy as a topic in its own right!!!!!
How do you live your Life?????
Do you work hard so you can play hard and think about the future, or do you prefer to worry more about the here & now more, and get as much play time in as possible?????

Good question! I have recently made more of an effort to equal out work and play. I’m a bit of an over achiever and this year I was doinig a team leader role at work, plus a part time case load as well, and at the same time doing a fulltime uni case load (3 units a semester). Luckily i love my job (youth work) and my study (psychology) BUT i did kinda have no social life. Made the decision next year to drop a subject so that I can spend some more time travelling and going to the snow etc. It was a tough decision for me cos it means it’ll take me an extra year to finish my degree (I’ll be 30 when I’m done) but i think it’s worth it to enjoy the last of my twenties. Most people wouldnt see that as much of a balance but it makes me happy. Not working has never really been an option for me, I love my work and I’m passionate about it and I cant handle having nothing to do! That said I was lucky enough to live in Europe in my teens and travelled heaps with my family so I dont feel like I’m missing out by not packing up and heading off now and having a dad that lives in France means I get to go to Europe every second year anyways :D

I almost ticked “I work hard so I can play hard” but the truth is if I was successful enough to retire now and just travel and have fun for the rest of my life, I would. So I was truthful and ticked “I just want to play as much as possible”. Life is short, have as much fun, travel and experience as many things/cultures as possible - that’s my motto.
are you going through mid-life crisis, Miz? i have recently spoken to a very wise man who advised me that the best way to resolve it is to spend some bucks and purchase 911.. mind you, if you do, i will be borrowing it quite regularly
