So I’ve been stoked on my UE BOOM since the weekend, and today they posted a little comment competition on their FB page. I WON! hahaha

here is what happened:

Anyone who knows my dance moves knows what this is about.

At first i was like “cant believe i just bought one and i now got a freebie”. But the best part is now I have two and can link them together!

IM THE KING OF WIN

yeah, i think you use the term dancing a little too liberally haha
more like chuck norris fly kicking to a beat. i’ve seen the head lumps to prove it LOL

Surf pumping today, surfed almost 4 hours, totally rooted but got so many waves, really long wally lefts that you could belt 5-6 sometimes more times, incredibly stoked right now.

I posted these in one of the surf threads but thought I would put them here as well to show you why I was so stoked.

And around the corner.

Awesome h0z!

I had a stoke moment yesterday;
After the school run and checking the surf, was on my way home (60km trip).
Tripmeter says 52km remaining and it’s 15km to the next servo.
+5km from servo engine cuts out - tripmeter still reads 33kms!!! but it’s def fuel (trip meter can’t do math) last time I ran low it read 25km.

Knock it into neutral (auto with power steering). And decide to roll as far as I can to reduce the walk carrying a jerrycan.

Downhill at the time, my speed increases to 115kmh, no traffic on road (weekday at 9:30am??).
A few uphill sections slow me to 60/70kmh but this road is rolling hills and I average about 80kmh while wrestling the steering wheel in corners.

2km from town is a big valley, speed increase to 100kmh in (80 zone)
Come up other side doing 60 and approach the only traffic lights, AND THEY’RE RED WITH A LOADED COAL TRUCK PULLING OUT! break to 40, run the red while I squeeze in behind semi.

1.5km to go, 700m of it downhill before going up again, then a T-intersection I’ll never get around without power steering even if clear of traffic.
(The last 30m is flat and then cross traffic into servo).
At this stage I was stoked to be facing a short, flat walk (100m) in a suburban setting, anyway.

Approaching the bend, there’s no traffic, I try the ignition and engine fires enough for power steering to charge -cuts halfway through corner- but I get around kissing the gutter.
Still no traffic! - I roll into servo at walking pace through the exit driveway.
Stop at pump (the wrong way) with a massive smile.
