nah we’re back up at mum’s in sydney now.
Surfed Lakes Beach on the central coast on saturday (1/2hr contest in who could pull in to the most closeouts)
Headies on sunday (bit too big and heavy for me first surf back, only got 1 wave and came in)
Headies on monday (smaller and better for me but the barrels had gone)
Sharkies yesterday on my mini mal (paddle fitness non existent!)Saw it pumping off the pools sunday morning but have no interest in fighting for waves in that crowd!

Personally I’m not fond of Austi, and I hear ya about the crowed! Friday morn, during the school run, it was packed and had photogs on the beach. I checked sharkies but the larger sets were missing the reef so I surfed coldy and scored a few great waves including some needed tube time. Sunday; with only 3hrs sleep I was at nippers and my body was screaming at me not to go in the water, so I didn’t surf, just caught some zzz’s on the beach towel until the weather changed. Dentist on monday, work tuesday day then today was a bit onshore so I bailed.
I think I’ve become a lazy fair weather surfer.

Sure did, I swear the higher in the public service you get the less work you do and the more money you earn.

quit, sell your house and go and do seasons instead. Your situation is my idea of a nightmare of a life!
I have often considered doing that.
But having a high paying job that takes up a fair chunk of my time but allows me to buy/do a hell of a lot of shit is far more ideal for me

Until, ya come to the realisation that one day you’ll be old and unemployable!!!!!
That’s when owning ya own house, and havin financial independence is not such a bad thing!!!!! Especially when ya wanna spend time with family and friends!!!!!
Unfortunately for the majority, having a mundane job is sometimes the only way to achieve this!!!!! Some are just lucky enough to land the vocation that they love!!!!!
It also makes ya really appreciate the times that ya do get to spoil yaself, immensely!!!!!
