Climate change in Australia
Yeah, 50 years of sporadic measurements taken with a yard stick at Spencer’s Creek, should be enough data to base it on?????
After all, the planets only been around for a couple thousand years!!!!!
I suspect the scientists are correct in their analysis of the data they’ve looked at, the question is, do they have all the data?
They may well have “all the data”, but the odds are high that the overwhelming majority of scientists (whose livelihoods depend on their ‘analysis’ supporting the objectives of their employers) have only ‘analysed’ data which best secures their continued employment.
What do you make of Destination NSW removing funding from Snow Australia? From here on in there’s no united front to market snow holidays in Oz.
They may well have all the data available to them at this time. There’s no doubt that more will come to light, one way or the other as time goes on.
It’s a shame that instead of moving forward in a positive way and being proactive, the industry here, especially in Vic, keeps getting hit after hit. Whatever is doing it, it’s getting less and less pretty for the punter

It simply means that instead of squandering a large portion of their snow related budget on a largely ineffective Snow Australia, Destination NSW now can spend it more effectively on a wider range of strategies.

But seriously, Climate Change is very real and a very real threat, clearly proven over and over again to be caused by humans.
How anyone can think it’s fake, I will never know.
The only thing I can think of is - it’s easier to decided to go with the “it’s fake” theory so you then don’t have to worry or deal with it. Take responsibility people. Just because it makes you feel bad, doesn’t mean calling it fake will make it go away.

I believe the biggest question our future generations will ask is the same issue we are currently tackling; WHY ARE THERE SO MANY OF US?
If we are causing this current cycle and it will be so devastating to population numbers… maybe that’s a good thing…?
The planet cannot sustain our numbers or energy needs.
The planet won’t die - just the resources 8billion people require will.Until the current period we were very good at killing one another.

I think Climate Change is caused by a great number of things. And all steps taken against it are a good thing. Stopping forests from being destroyed at ridiculous speeds, re-planting of forests, reduction of carbon emissions being released. But the best thing we could do is reduce our numbers. Japan has stopped breeding for some reason and everyone is saying “OH MY GOD they are in so much trouble”.... why? I think it’s great. China used to ban people from having more than 1 child. If all countries banned the world from having more than 2, we would do amazing things for the planet. All issues are helped out all at once by just reducing then population.

It’s not quite as easy as “let’s stop breeding”!!!!!
In order to sustain that financially, people will have to lessen their standard of living dramatically!!!!!
And that just isn’t in the Human DNA to do so!!!!!

it’s all good then. Cos if it’s real, you will stop breeding (well you will cos you’re old) and standard of living will be reduced cos we’ll either be under water, in drought, or just plain bored with extreme weather and no snow

I’ve read an article, sometime back, discussing that climate change is occurring due to change in magnetic fields, that happens somewhat every couple of million years. I mean it very well could be a valid fact and the is no major issue going in environment. And that change in temperature is simply happening as a process in normal cycle.
But in saying that, it doesn’t mean we should neglect the the planet and it’s habitat. We should still do our best not to let any human doings leave a black mark on such a beautiful planet.
I mean how boring would life be without snow!
