Getting a bit slow Mizu, I was sure you would have mentioned the predicted 70cm “dusting” Niseko is due to get in the upcoming week!

Just watched tonights Osaka episode of Destination Japan. It was by far my favourite episode it was almost like he took a page out of my itinerary and dining spots.

I’d also recommend the Japow newbies check it out (as well as the whole series) as this episode in particular was a very good example of what kind of food you can get on the cheap while over there.

Hahahaaa, I knew others would be keepin an eye out on the forecasts and happenings, dave!!!!! shaka

Like I mentioned before, I love how Niseko goes from nothing on the ground to almost completely ridable!!!!! Crazy place!!!!! Probably why I have a fondness for it?????

And yeah, I reckon the same about that show too, as any and all things Japan are a helpful boost to any first timer!!!!! Although the place will still blow ya mind no matter how prepared ya are!!!!!

There’s actually a good Soba place in Hirafu!!!!! Kinda on the way to Kutchan or Hanazono, there’s a small little joint with a Soba Master at the helm!!!!!

G’day G’day.

I’m a bit of a lurker around these parts! Anyway, you guys are a wealth of information so I thought the best place to ask is here!

First trip to Japan this year, been to Canada/US for the last few years so I thought a change of scenery is order. Travelling in January 2014 from the 15th to around the 29th of Jan to Niseko for some sweet sweet (and infamous) pow then hopefully to Hakuba for a couple of weeks after (haven’t looked that far ahead). Man is it hard finding accommodation for that time of year, prime time. Wish I had gotten on to it sooner. Anyway, a few buddies of mine have also recommend I check out Rusutsu which I am super keen for.

I’ve heard that riding off piste in Japan is frowned upon at the more traditional resorts, but is there a limit to the areas you can ride off piste in Niseko? Or is it all fair game? Also, how is it at Niseko Moiwa? I’ve noticed its not on the Niseko United lift pass, is it worth taking a look?
