Amazing pics! It made me go and look up the #1 tree
I saved the image so I can view it with two monitors that sit one atop the other.
All that did was make me realise the only way to appreciate it would be to visit it.
How can they know how old it is? They can’t count the rings.
I’m most amazed that it wasn’t cut down to make a dining table for an earlier president.

I’m pretty sure they do ultrasound type scans on them and can measure rings

allegedly, this is the biggest/oldest snowgum in Victoria growing in natural habitat. NOT quite as majestic, yet evocative of the australian snow
