What’s your latest purchase?

Got a 50litre wheeled esky that does pretty well for me and one other but when lots of beer will be drunk I bring another 30litre esky for the food so the 50l can be used for important stuff.  I take two pans, a two burner stove, tongs, eggflip and a sharp knife.  If it can’t be cooked and eaten with the above I don’t want to cook and I certainly don’t want to eat it.

You can still use a gas cooker in fire bans as far as I’m aware, there’s a communal gas cooker where I normally camp in the national park and it was still on last weekend despite the fire ban.

I’ve got a 180 ltr for food, and a 60 ltr for the Beer!!!!!

Keeps the Ice (Frozen Water Balloons) solid for days if I’m not in and out of the big one gettin beers all day!!!!!

A gas lantern, two burner, plus a cheap fold up BBQ, a couple of pots and pans, and a Plastic Box that has all old shit like tongs, knives, forks peelers etc etc in it!!!!!

Then a spade and my Chain Saw!!!!!

Air Mattress and Sleepin Bags, and a huge Tarp that goes over the Tent to soak up the weather!!!!!

Ohh, and camp chairs with beer holders!!!!! Never leave home without them!!!!! (Plus a couple of Milk Crates that hold some of the gear, then can be used as a table/foot stool!!!!!)

All fits in the back of my van with room to spare!!!!!

Ha ha, I guess when i think about it I have a fair bit of stuff as well.  The easiest thing is having most of it stuffed into the camper trailer.  I have a couple of camp chairs with beer holders as well, 2 x 20litre water containers, the two burner stove, 2 pans, a double mattress for other mates, 2 sleeping bags, 12V fan, 12V rechargeable light and some basic cooking shit like oil, paper towel.  Then I have my 4wding stuff, air compressor, recovery kit, foldable shovel as well as at least 2 boards, double that if with a mate and sometimes I strap the SUP board to the top of the camper trailer as well.

LOL It’s like when ya move house!!!!!

Yeah, I haven’t got many possessions…... Ohhhh, where did I get all this shit from?????

But the extra stuff shaw does make up for the money saved on hotel accom, and it’s always a great change in pace when ya kick back with a beer in hand, sittin in a camp chair, lookin across a natural view!!!!! And most times in Trackies/Boardies & Uggies/Thongs!!!!!

I do love 5 Star Digs, but there’s always somethin so damn good about livin in a tent!!!!!

Ha ha yeah I know what you mean, I enjoy staying in 5 star digs when I travel for work, when I’m paying for it myself I struggle to see the value unless you’re in Bali and it’s cheap ha ha!

I meant Wood Fire, cause that’s what I think of when the term Camp Fire is mentioned!!!!!

Gas is the only option in a Total Fire Ban, and especially if ya in a National Park!!!!! They’ll have Rangers makin sure that ya doin the right thing!!!!!

Nice! Polygons are awesome bikes for the $. Where are you going to be riding? I just (about 2 weeks ago now) bought a new ride as well. Might make a trip up to Thredbo this summer if I can round up some mates.

Edit: Felt guilty posting this. Feels like I’ve betrayed snowboarding… But Dylan started it!
