Where is the national spirit for our home grown heroes? Especially with Sochi approaching.
My post resonated about the “spotting” of American athletes while Aussies remain unkown.
Do you people not support the likes of Torah Bright, etc..
Or what about the up and coming young athletes?
No one says anything when I rant on about my stoke of riding with or even just seeing Zara Kell on the hill.
I guess your preference is to attack me instead of opening your eyes to how this star spotting of US “names” does nothing for Aussies who rip just as good.

Ok so if the Aussies are ripping just as hard why are they not beating the international riders on a consistent basis and starring at the top of the TTR rankings? I’m not rubbishing Aussie riders at all, the rider most talked about is Norwegian so no idea where the USA chant is coming from. Actually I can’t think of a single US rider that anyone has mentioned at all. McMorris is Canadian, Morgan is a pom, Tor is Scando of some description the only US rider who was at the comp I can think of right now is Chas Guldemond.
Your comments came across to me as though you were blowing your own trumpet and often do, that may or may not be your intent but that’s how it comes across to me. I surf, you surf, I snowboard, you snowboard, the similarities between us pretty much end there from what I can see.
Additionally I seem to remember mentioning Torah several times before on this forum. Unfortunately i cannot say for certain if I’ve seen her riding.

Yeah my little sis and RPS met Torah in the Perisher carpark and snagged a photo with her. They both fell head over heels in love and have been rubbing in the fact that I missed her since!

Think all the younguns from my usual group are going to be down there. I’m going to have another weekend off and get some more sun in as I’m a bit under the weather atm. Shred the weekend after then thats it thats all for my 2013 season.

There are plenty of Aussies ripping over the internationals.
It’s a straight up fact that Australian snow athletes are consistently the better snow riders from any country in the world. It has to do with having to ride the most challenging snow conditions on the planet. We produce some of the best instructors in the world and lay claim to the greater percentage of snow records (outside of the Olympic arena) than any other nation. It has been that way for over 20 years.
Do you need a list of names? Those that I trained with, hang with socially, whose careers I helped launch and the photographic evidence to support it?
Or would you rather I ask some to join BW to toot my trumpet for me!
^ Those last 2 are rhetorical questions - I wouldn’t go to the trouble when I feel I’m being attacked for being open and honest about my lifestyle on this forum.

I was trying to support the comments Andy made, didn’t attack anyone personally so why are people jumping up and down.
I was just sick of repeatedly hearing about Torstein and White. Not just here but in every conversation I hear. Remember I’ve been in the snow since these guys arrived. I don’t get what all the hype is about when we have as talented riders living here.
I should have just posted in the devo thread. But know I have something else to be devo about.

You could add cars or a general car appreciation to the similarities list and I have friends with whom I have less in common than I do with you. I took issue with the tone of your post berating ppl for frothing on OS riders as though you were too cool for school to effected by the celebrity as you moved in circles over that of everyone else. It may not have been your intention but it certainly read that way to me when put in the basket with other posts of yours that read similarly over the years.
You have made a concsious decision in some ways to live life the way you do, I dont agree with some aspects of it but I especially take offence when you hold yourself up as a beacon of counter culture/damn the manism and seemingly belittle those who aspire to other ways of life as though yours is the most pure and only one thats worthwhile.
This may not be your intention some of it may even be tongue in cheek but its hard to tell with the written word. I like my life and you probably like yours and there are similarities but from what I have read and heard in passing about your way of life there are some fundamental differences that I struggle to comprehend how you have arrived at these differences being a positive in your mind.
I havent said anything up till now as its your business and it has little effect on me but that post flicked a switch for me. There may be very valid reasons for your lifestyle that im not privy to and that I do not expect you to share on here, im just calling it as I see it. Feel free to correct my assumptions in person should that occur at some point, I always open to other points of view but wont always agree with them.

I am waiting for the interview with Shaun White , anyone can make that claim but the proof is in the pudding…a bit rich to ask people for photos then claim you can interview White with no evidence.
NBG: I ran into Andy and he was lapping the park and spotted me wearing a boardworld hoody so I decided to have a few runs, the pipe was so fun this time round that I ended up doing about 30 runs. The mini pipe though had was cut out and have massive over hangs even at 930am. No chance of getting above the edge.
Do you know when they do groom it though Kim or is it just random times?haha Spaz classic. I was sorely tempted to give it a try trust me.

Did you see Torstein Horgmo in Front Valley park that day. We were riding the rail line and everyone would just stop to watch him before anyone else would drop. Pretty funny. Wicked rider.
Yeh it was fun! I had a few more runs and kept in mind the tips you gave on transitioning from rail to rail. Still went a lot better on my frontside hit but ill give it another go when I get in the pipe next and try to improve my backside hits.

There’s heaps of evidence on BW that I can access some of the world best athletes - not just snow. Sports stars are easy to access.
Whatever Crackers, I wouldn’t do it to prove a point, I would do it if I was getting paid for the interview. When have I ever not lived up to a claim I made or owned a wrong comment.
It’s cool for everyone to get excited about any rider. I was just over hearing about Torstien or Shawn White as it was the only topic anyone was speaking about all week (I’m not referring to on BW - EVERYWHERE). In my head, hearing about them had gone stale - maybe even sent me mental, like a strange water torture dripping the name Torstien and White on my forehead repeatedly.
And you all got to bare witness to my breakdown. 
No offence was intended to anyone or any group. I ask that you consider my position of hearing nothing but TorstienTorstienTorstienTorstienTorstienTorstienTorstienTorstien.
Seeing the posts about Torah literally eased my pain instantly.
