Back on topic, snow really really slow today, fair bit of cover erosion since last weekend, speaking to my mate in mountain ops they are expecting to lose another 25cms or more by this time next week and will be lucky to keep smigs open for more than another week. Get in while its still here bous and girls or hope like hell sept delivers something.
Not good mate, August may have been “the season” Meanwhile it’s summer up here. Nice on the beach but the NE wind needs to go away!
I’ve been looking at long term forecasts and there’s nothing good on the horizon other than a slight dash of hope around the 12th but I’m not holding my breath.
Hopefully there’s still some snow on the ground when the shred rolls around. If not I could be spending some time swimming/gyming and rock climbing at the leisure centre.
Conditions Update:
I’ve had some AWESOME days off to shred some park with my buds. (Also I gave Torstein Horgmo a ride to the club a few nights ago… unrelated… I just wanted to brag)
Today it got very sticky which kinda sucks. So Spring has definitely Sprung.
Fine for riding rails in the park and nice soft landings at least. But I’m hoping it doesn’t stay like that until close. I’m sure it will remain hot but probably not be as sticky as it was today.
Come for a spring shred! Hit me up if you need someone to ride with. I’m on the hill everyday.

Haha, 4 of us did an advanced lesson on wed, and our instructor was an absolute champ, once he had finished teaching us (and signed out of work for the day) he came and had a beer with us, then came to Guthega with us, as we had never been there, and finally wanted to go see it, then yesterday as I’m going down past terminal chair in bc, I hear some one yell out, ey, holly!! How’s it goin? And se him madly waving at us while his instructing! Haha he gave us his card too, so we can email him and questions if we wanted, hopefully we bump into him again and can go for another ride with him!
Anyone going up this weekend?
Maybe but if its going to rain probably not. My body and vehicle might need a rest. I say that now but come Thursday who knows ha ha!
