The BOARDWORLD Forums ran from 2009 to 2021 and are now closed and viewable here as an archive
Yeah I saw that last night. Apparently they are being taken to court by one of the hire places.
Its all a load of bullshit.
Baw Baw, as per usual are assessing their ability to run lifts on a day to day basis due to amount of snow (or lack of)
Some dickhead in the media run that story and started all this shit.
No one is going to sue anyone…...
firstly, if there is not enough snow to turn lifts…....
secondly, Baw Baw is run by a management board, i.e the government, so you would be a brave soul to fork out $$$$ suing them.
Mind you, they are some rich stupid people in the world, and I could be wrong.
Mate has the largest business interest outside of the RMB there, its not him and the CEO was on the local radio yesterday explaining the situation as he does every year about how the resort runs at a loss and the Victorian gov prop it up to the tune of 2 - 3 million every year.
Typical crap reporting
maybe when the boardworld store takes off, jez can buy Baw Baw and turn it into a private boardworld mountain like snowpark in NZ is now!!
No one is going to sue anyone…...
I did think it was a bit crazy!
If there is no snow then no people are going to come anyway so you have staffed a store with no buyer/renters…
I just thought it was sad that they have to close so early!
One lift in the first week of sept is pretty depressing!
