Had my Sun Peaks interview this morning. Went well, think I’m pretty much in, would have been nice to get a straight confirmation but it’s all good.
He said he wanted to email my references (urgh, I’d prefer they didn’t know just because they know my current boss) and will get back to me within a week.
I’d prefer they didn’t
So give them someone else to call???
How are they supposed to offer you a job without references?
If they do, I will live, I was more just hoping that a face to face interview and linked in profiles would be sufficient. I’m not applying for a proper role here… they want someone who stands around and helps kids onto lifts etc…

How is talking to a reference going to help. I know countless people who put friends down as their “boss” and get jobs. At least mine has proper links to peoples linkedin pages, and people who aren’t <25.
For all they know, I could put down email address for a email that I made and reply to them myself…
