Summer shredding at Snowflex in Lynchburg VA. Year-round skiing, snowboarding. This high-performance playground is the first of its kind in the U.S. Snowflex is a synthetic material designed to simulate the slip and grip effects of snow.
has anyone ever boarded on this stuff? i’d really like to know how similar it is to real snow
Thats what they have in Melb at the Powderpak place. Hopefully head there soon. Will let you know what if feels like
Aren’t Snowflex and Powderpak two different materials?
From what I can gather Snowflex is different to the Powderpak, as it’s used with a misting/sprinkler system.
That massive hill at Calder Park was going to be a Snowflex complex. I was getting really excited about it, but there’s been no news for ages.
I new they were different, but thought they both worked the same. Im pretty sure powderpak uses some sort of water system too. The photos ive seen from the place shows people with wet pants
Ahhhh ok. I didn’t realise the Powderpak used water. Would love to check it out at some stage, but wouldn’t bother trying to ride it as I’m pretty useless in the park. Wouldn’t mind getting some pics though.
Trent, here’s some pics and a review a member did at a Snowflex park a while back.
