Every Leader is gonna have their own opinions on every matter, based on their upbringing/beliefs/experiences, so ya not gonna please everybody!!!!!

I agree!

But that’s the thing - on two party preferred basis I believe that with a pro’s and con’s list I prefer Rudd.

A friend of mine wrote an interesting status on FB.

He is asking all these election questions - he has these rules about answering etc but he asked “give me some reason why i should vote the coalition”

He didn’t get many responses.

He is over Labor as well. But not too many people in my circles prefer Abbott! Male and Female…

Actually let me rephrase…

He got replies but now one had an answer as to why he should definitively vote for them.

The Coalition couldn’t release their policies too early in the show cause Labor would just run with the ideas and make it seem like you were voting for nothing different!!!!!

What will change will be better Economic Management, and that equates to a better standard of living for everyone!!!!!

Labor will, and have always been, in favour of taxing big business, but the problem with doin so, it will make Big Business favour other countries that will look after them!!!!!

Bottom line, wether ya like it or not, Big Business in Australia makes for a better economy!!!!!

That’s why voting for the Coalition is good sense!!!!!

Not voting for them because there’s some fabricated stigma about Tony Abbot, just doesn’t make sense to me?????

But, September will show us if my logic is with the Majority anyways!!!!! That’s the beauty of living in a Democracy!!!!!

some fabricated stigma about Tony Abbot,

I genuinely don’t understand this… what is the difference between a fabricated stigma of Tony Abbott and one of K Rudd??

None of us have had any huge personal dealings with either of them. Only what we have seen on TV etc. And hearsay.

Mizu I didn’t really have a favourable opinion of you on that other site… I had never meet you & I wasn’t inclined to go out of my way to meet you either.

You came across as a totally different and more respected person on this site and we now know I love you (& your family)!

Perceived perception is a tricky thing…

And Politically even harder.

I don’t believe (for example) that KRudd was ever against gay marriage - I believe he previously was toeing the party line before. I believe he went against the party when he said he was pro gay marriage recently!

Clive Palmer party? he loves mining and eating!

And this tells me what type of person that Kevin is, even without having ever met him!!!!!

He bows to the popular vote!!!!! Even if his true beliefs are different!!!!!

That’s why Howard never said Sorry to the Stolen Generation, that’s why he went to an Election with the GST on the table!!!!!

From my experiences in life with the two main parties, the leaders of the Labor party say one thing, yet do something completely different!!!!!

Bob Hawke was a classic “Good ol boy”, loved a Beer, was a complete creep when it came to Women, even ditched his wife for no real reason other than to chase some skirt!!!!! Keating was just a pompous Scumbag, and Juliar would fabricate something about her own family if it meant that she would get something in return!!!!!

And Rudd in my gut feeling, and from his past actions, is no different than his predecessors!!!!!

Well I don’t think it’s a fabricated stigma against abbott, to be honest. He has a fairly poor record when it comes to womens/human rights issues. But then your feelings regarding this will be dependent on what you deem important come election time. And while I certainly agree that maintaining sound economic policy is vitally important. it is not the only policy issue that will be governing my vote.

So let me ask you this Miz, if the leader of the coalition was Bob Katter. Pauline Hanson or Clive Palmer or even Kevin Rudd, would you be so quick to dismiss their unfavorable personal characteristic/ethics and vote the coalition simply cause it’s the coalition and they did such a good job under howard/costello?

I’ll play!!!!!

So what womens/human rights issues has Abbott had a poor record on?????

And we all know that Katter and Hanson are Nutbags, and that Palmer just had a dummy spit and went off to play with his own Party, this is the very reason why none of them will hold any real power!!!!! Rudd, hasn’t done anything majorly wrong by say the standards of Hanson, but he’s none the less a liar and has a proven record of it!!!!! And his Economic Management is nothing short of reckless!!!!! Once again there is examples!!!!! The Pink Bat Scheme being one, The Stimulus Handout another!!!!! Do you think that he has suddenly found the smarts to run the country differently, or do you just take him on his word?????

He’s now leading the Party that he said he would not lead if he lost the last Challenge against Gillard!!!!! Yet you will believe everything else he says?????

See therein lies your problem calling Katter, Palmer and Hanson nutbags. It is based on their behaviour, personal beliefs and ethical characteristic (or lack there of). And if that is what you are basing their ‘nutbag’ tag on than you have to accept that this is a completely speculative way to define some-one and that there are probably plenty of Aussie folks who think these three are straight up sane and representative of their values and beliefs.

Which is what I am basing my feelings about abbott on. It’s not simply on some ‘perceived stigma’ against him, it is based on his past and current views on a number of policies and issues which are important to me.

Here are a few of abbotts wise words or wisdom and just a few of the reasons that I believe he is incapable of representing out country on an national/international platform :

I think it would be folly to expect that women will ever dominate or even approach equal representation in a large number of areas simply because their aptitudes, abilities and interests are different for physiological reasons

I won’t be rushing out to get my daughters vaccinated [for cervical cancer], maybe that’s because I’m a cruel, callow, callous, heartless bastard but, look, I won’t be.

Abortion is the easy way out. It’s hardly surprising that people should choose the most convenient exit from awkward situations.

I want to make it clear that I do not judge or condemn any woman who has had an abortion, but every abortion is a tragedy and up to 100,000 abortions a year is this generation’s legacy of unutterable shame.

I think there does need to be give and take on both sides, and this idea that sex is kind of a woman’s right to absolutely withhold, just as the idea that sex is a man’s right to demand I think they are both they both need to be moderated, so to speak.

Jesus knew that there was a place for everything and it’s not necessarily everyone’s place to come to Australia.

There may not be a great job for [aboriginal people] but whatever there is, they just have to do it… And if it’s picking up rubbish around the community, it just has to be done.”

The argument [behind climate change] is absolute crap. However, the politics of this are tough for us. Eighty per cent of people believe climate change is a real and present danger

I kinda agree with Abbott in most of the statements above, I don’t understand the cervical cancer one, I think it’s probably been lifted out of context, something that the media has an enormous habit of doing to suit it’s own agenda.  Take the Jesus reference out of the other one and I’d agree with it as well.

And that’s the beautiful thing about our country yeah, we are entitled to make our own personal opinion based on our own experiences and values and there will usually be a leader who is reflective of these ideologies. One persons nutbag is anothers favoured leader so to say haha smile Democracy for the win!

Not sure how ya get that he’s a Misogynist from those comments?????

Maybe Kevin the guy that said that there was no room for phrases like “they have sex appeal” in politics, might have said something a little different when he was in the NY Strip Club?????

Maybe when he had a “discussion” with the Flight Attendant about him gettin the wrong sandwiches, he might have recollected on his comments toward people of the opposite sex and in a “Medial Job”, and not be such a wanker!!!!!

But, like I said September will rid us of him anyways, so don’t care!!!!!

I am in no way advocating for Rudd. But it’s based on the fact that I think he is a straight up psychopath and incapable of performing in a collaborative manner with any of his colleagues. He is more interested in having the title of PM then actually performing effectively as one. But how does he attendance at a strip club negate his ability to call out Abbott’s ridiculous assertion that one of his candidates best qualities is that she has ‘sex appeal’. Seriously? If any CEO/boss characterized their staff like that, male or female, they could straight up have a sexual harassment suit coming their way.

Can’t we be looking at candidates based on the actual ability and not how their ass rates on the spankable scale?

Surely you can’t honestly reckon that his comment wasn’t a tongue in cheek remark?????

And I think that Rudd goin to a Strip Joint has everything to to with it!!!!! A clear case of Hypocrisy for sure!!!!! Ya can’t call someone out for bein a creep, when ya hangin around strip joints!!!!! Nor can his mate Albo, when he gets caught havin beers with the old Hooker Client, and Union Member Theif that’s gettin looked after by the Labor Party!!!!!

Ohhh, and if ya think that Rudd is no advocate, then who’s left to vote for?????

Not Christine Milne!!!!! Please don’t say that ya gonna back the Greens?????
