Haha yeh its Lakey Pipe. Thought I’d have a crack at trying to sneak it past you.
Lakey peak is just to the right of this picture for those that haven’t been there. Lakey pipe is pretty darn fun but not many people surf it on anything other than high tide.
Very famous in the 80s and early 90s. The flattest reef ive ever surfed. Flawless wave but horribly inconsistent.
Gunna need some clues for this one reckon.
Needs typhoons. Not talked about now as it has a more consistent famous cousin. It breaks similar but more perfect thanbits cousin.

Yep. Remember this was THE wave in its day. When you mentioned phillos back then this was where everyone wanted to go. It is a 3 hr tricycle ride on a bumpy dirt road after a 3 hr ferry and i took train option of 12 hrs from manila.Cloud 9 (the cousin) is a dream to get to compared to this but its uncrowded fast and shallow. Its name can be used as a description.

Never really knew much about the pillipines to be honest, never been on my radar as a trip destination after some mates went to Cloud 9 and reckoned it was 2ft and shit for 9 days. is it Rock island maybe?

This is rock island 94 and very very big. Inside section is about 2 ft overhead. Outside 8 to 10 ft ohead.
The wave is called Majestics. Like I said earlier it has gone off the radar coz of getting there is a mission and not surrounded by otherr waves like c9.
Go in the right time with time on ur side and u get rewarded. Anyone going for 9 days is waisting their $. Indo is the safest option but I think there’s pound for pound more grunt in most phillo waves than a lot of places.

That Rock Island looks pretty good, it hardly looks big at all but probably cause it looks pretty perfect.
