nice outerwear mate
Thanks mate!
It got a solid workout over the weekend in some pretty windy/cold conditions and stood up to the job admirably.
Love the jacket and fit enough that I’d consider wearing it off the mountain (usually jackets are like a circus tent on me).
I’m not 100% sold on the colour of the pants yet but I wanted to try something different (I’m back to being an invisible ninja in a whiteout though)
Build quality of them is great, I took a sharp rock to the knee and there’s no sign of damage on them at all (same can’t be said for my knee)
I’ve been waiting for Remind Insoles to come in for ages. So stoked they are finally here! This is my latest purchase: Remind Insoles (Remedy model). I will be using these in my new snowboard boots. Coming soon to a Boardworld store near you!
Endorsed by Travis Rice too! We will be also selling the Travis Rice Pro Model. Excellent performance insole designed for snowboarding and skating, at a very reasonable price. We will also be running a giveaway for a couple of pairs soon!
No offense to these insoles but I’ll take heat molded ones any day. Everyone’s feet are different, I take no chances with generic ones…
Well, I’ve used custom orthotics in my shoes, and custom footbeds in my boots, since I was a kid. I’m very interested in how these perform. I’ve only heard great things about them, even compared to custom footbeds. The Travis Rice recommendation is rather assuring too. But I’m keen to test them with honestly and no bias.
Anyway, I’ll be testing these and comparing them to my past experiences with custom footbeds etc. I will be giving an honest review once I’ve had enough time in them.
You can read some of the testimonials here: http://www.remindinsoles.com/reviews/testimonials
Worth mentioning in the custom footbed vs insoles debate is the price difference. Often people can’t justify spending $200+ on custom footbeds yet would buy into a cheaper option. Custom footbeds are great, there’s no debating that, and I’ve used them religiously for years. But using something like Remind Insoles compared to nothing at all, well, you’re giving your feet so much extra support and protection. If you can’t afford customs, this is definitely the way to go.
Also, most skaters don’t skate with any sort of support in their shoes. Orthotics definitely aren’t suited for skateboarding, due to the high impact. The hard orthotic can do more harm than good, damaging the structure and soft tissue of the foot. This is a great product for skaters; it provides much needed impact protection, while also giving support to maintain proper alignment.
Good point mate, will look forward to the non-biased review
I just took this photo. It will give you some indication of the amount of arch support in the Remedy model (which is the most supportive of the range). I went for the Remedy because I need the support (hence why I’ve always used orthotics etc.).
There is significant arch support in this model. The support is fairly firm yet does have some cushion and flex to it.
Will be interested to hear how they compare to another off the shelf product like “superfeet”
I currently use the green ones in my boots.
Keen to see what you think of em as well, my boots have packed out a bit so something like this might help tighten em back up
there is a thread floating around about footbeds somewhere right? I’m kinda getting more interested in them as I think I might need some additional arch support.
When I owned my Surf Shop I had guys buyin Gravis shoes so they could swap out the Footbeds to their Snowboard Boots!!!!!
They had a similar non custom footbed that had really good arch support, and heel cups!!!!!
how much do they retail for, Jez?

how much do they retail for, Jez?
I believe they will be selling for between $44.95 and $69.95 depending on the model.
I should mention, you guys will all be getting “Member” and “Team” discounts on anything you buy from the Boardworld store. Store purchases will automatically be connected to your Boardworld account. This was really important to me moving forward with the store. I really wanted to reward our members for their loyal support over the years.
