Vote day at Thredbo & Perisher???

Avatar

Got text from mate “Does Thredbo held polling booth on 7th?” Voting in our holiday Bugger! anyway this day we’ll have a rest day after a week ski/boarding…

Question: Does Thredbo or Perisher held polling day? if yes where?

Yes Thredbo does.

But I always absentee vote early to save on snow time!

There was talk amongst the staff about something at Perisher but I didn’t hear the details sorry.

But I highly recommend voting early. They don’t question why you show up early. you just vote.

Yeah nothing up yet…

They are public servants after all nothing happens quickly (except for campaign ads!!)

But silent I would contact them all and tell them to do a postal vote (done from the comfort of your home!) or absentee vote. early - anywhere. You don’t even have to be in your electorate. People are adults and it is their responsibility to vote. There WILL be booths or a least a booth in Thredbo. But i wouldn’t want to waste my only ski holiday this year queuing (besides a lift queue!)

The last elections I went to Sydney town hall queued for an hour before finding out I was in the wrong queue!!

the queue for the Sydney electorate was minuscule!

we were down at selwyn for the last election and voted at the adaminaby primary school in the arvo after riding.
If there isn’t anything in thredbo then there will definitely be something in Jindy!

I always vote early. Beat the rush, no waiting. Too easy. smile

All this talk about voting anywhere early.  I’m at my desk at work and would like to vote early and I’m anywhere, why can’t a vote right here right now?  more details on this supposed vote anywhere early lurk please cause so far it aint working.

Silent,

Here are the voting details for Jindy etc

I still strongly advise the people traveling with you to either enroll to do a postal vote or vote early - details here.

Those in Jindy already or will be travel thru you can even vote early there - see below.

I’m just going to walk to town hall tomorrow and get it over with raspberry

I might see you there!

I have to remember tho not to queue.

Last time i did and then when i got to the front it turned out the queue was for the other areas not the Sydney electorate!

Hahaha well in that case, I might go over to north syd so I dont have to queue if there is a line.

I was going to suggest doing it on the way to work!

Took me 1.5 hours last time (no seriously!! and it wasn’t during lunch!) even more frustrating that i didn’t have to queue.

And my friend who was skiing with me that weekend was in the middle of the burbs in Victoria for work and he had the same problem!
