I’m heading down Friday arvo, not 100% on the time just yet or where from

Ok cool, If I head down I had been planning to leave Friday after dinner at the parents (Glenfield) then sleeping in the car Friday/Saturday night. Working Monday so can only do Sat/Sun this weekend but can do Sat/Sun/Mon next weekend.

WOW i am i am little shocked Dave want to have company/friends and not go SOLO on the snow…. wow you have gone long way my friend.

You do know I’m nearly always riding with friends in Australia don’t you? It’s just overseas that I like to do it solo.

How much easier/better is it to just eat and get on the road!

That’s what I do most of the time.

The best is scoffing a roast on a Sunday after riding all day then jumping in the car and heading off.

So glad I got into that routine!

Haha yep, Mum feeds me up pretty well before I leave, nice to get a home cooked meal before being stuck with snow food. The fact that they are about 45mins closer to the snow than Cronulla helps as well!

Sunday roast would be pretty amazing as well!

Just got to be careful of the food coma which starts to kick in half way down

Yeah I reckon it would get to me as well (especially if you are having it 3 times a day) Although I am looking forward to smashing some steak/ribs when I’m in the USA.

Having a DIY healthy breakfast/lunch for the week I was last down here made a massive difference. Didn’t feel so bad about having a splurge on dinner.

Man for dinner that is all i was smashing down is steak and seafood. Lunch was mainly on the go and breakfast we started making in hotel some cereal and fruit.

Although in SF we found a good coffee shop that was owned by Australians so they actually had quiet good breakfast and coffee.

Nice well try to remember all the good places you’ve been and I’ll pick your brains when it comes to planning my time over there. Good food is a major part of a holiday for me.

Great I’m still very early in planning stages but a few of those places will probably end up on the list.

So the weather nerds still seem to be backing some snow coming this weekend. The even better news is what looks like a follow up system hot on it’s heels. Hopefully this could be the August season starter!  LOL

Holy hell, that went OT and I’m none the wiser about who is coming down or what forms of assistance they need like lift or lodgings other than Lano can’t go.  DRC I’m out for Mondays until the last weekend of the season after a starting a new job and all.  I’ll wait to NLTS gets back to this thread before deciding on firm plans.

Haha well I started to bring it back into line with my weather forecast update last post.

So to clarify for me, I’ll make a decision late Friday arvo on whether I’ll be coming down for Sat/Sun this weekend. I’ve been trying to workout if we could share the drive but I think we may be on a slightly different schedule (me being post Dinner Friday and probably staying slightly longer Sunday if conditions look good)

If I do come down I guess I’ll camp at the usual spot??

Dave I will see what I have on for tomorrow, I generally like to get out of Sydney by 3pm but it would be nice to share the driving with someone ha ha!  Still no closer to deciding if I should take the chateau or not!

Ok well keep me in the loop then mate we might be able to work something out. Traffic hasn’t been an issue at all so far on my trips at that time. Although you do get down there lateish (which is why I typically sleep in the car at the tube 1st night)

If I do come with, I’m happy to pack my little tent and setup in there for the night so don’t feel forced into dragging the chateau down (obv happy to help set it up if you need)
