How wet do your boots get?

My current boots are pretty wet at the end of each day including non-rainy days. I’m just wondering if this is normal or if my boots (Nitro Team TLS 2011/12) are particularly leaky.

Is it from sweat or you think it’s due to the snow? Just make sure you dry them well my mate rode with damp boots all the time and he worked on mountain every day. Ended up with trench foot like the soldiers would get in the war, skin goes soft and wrinkly and starts to fall off.
Yeah bkr, pretty sure it’s snow/water coming in, not sweat. I did manage to dry them out nearly completely most nights by pulling the inner out, but they still got wet again the next day. I’ve actually invested in one of the Rad boot dryers that BW is selling. I think maybe the boots are just a bad design.

Damm sucks mate :( Does sound like dodgy design. Have you broken in the boots? Nitro TLS are fairly stiff to start with? I would imagine they have gotten softer and the boots have more gaps in them.
Just keep them dry as possible at night and keep some fresh socks ready every day, ride em into the ground!
I’ve done about 4 weeks in the boots now, so I’d say they’re broken in.
Mine always get drenched. I used to think it was because my boots were totally shredded and full of holes (my last pair was), but got brand newies for Whistler and they were still wet. Not the inside of the boot, but the liner was. So I’m sure it was because of sweating
No probs here!!!!!
I rarely get a little moisture at the toe box, but I think that’s mainly due to sweat!!!!!

i make sure it’s pulled over the top of the boot, say 5cm down from the top of the tongue. Then I pull the outer pants leg right down to ankle level.
Mud the more of the lacing you cover with the gaiter the better, I pull mine as far as I can without it interfering with keeping my pants up around my waist and not pulling them down. You might find if you do that it will get better. My new Burton Ambushes have been really good, the one and only time they got wet was last trip when it was literally raining the entire day, the snow was melting like crazy and the temp was like 7-8 degrees on the hill and we were riding lickarse park and falling a lot, well I was anyway. After that they were pretty wet.

If ya look at the gussets on ya boot tongue, ya have to go well past them in order to stop any snow (Even a 1/4 Teaspoon will make ya boot wet as) from entering the boot!!!!!
Plus if ya pants aren’t big/baggy/long in the leg enough, get some pants that will allow ya to do this!!!!!

Pants are plenty big. The gators also have little metal hooks facing inwards to grab onto the boot laces and keep them pulled down. I’ll give it a try if/when I get up again this season, thanks again.
Mine get soaked on wet days ( when the snow is slush or its raining.. But on good days, (last sat/sun) they stay dry.. I have boot dryers.. Just portable ones that I use.. And they work wonders!

I just realised why my boots area always wet. I never do toilet stops. Just pee and it runs down my leg into my boots
