So glad I didn’t spend the $ on accom this weekend! Hopefully things get better for next weekend.
I hate to say it Dyngle but perhaps it might be time to head home? That is unless you can have all next week off as well ha ha. I hinted to my new work that I would be happy to have another week off if they needed some more time to get organised, it wasn’t very subtle either!

Yeah the best thing I’ve done this season is embrace the camping! It takes a lot of pressure off and let’s me pick my trips right up to the last minute based on the conditions. I do have 2 nights booked at the station in August though but surely there’ll be something worthwhile….

Holy crap, it is literally pissing down at Perisher right now, 10mm of rain an hour right now, that’s seriously disgusting. By the looks of it they will be starting from just about scratch this weekend again.
DRC I will PM you the link to the unit I got, there’s a couple of gremlins in it that I don’t have the Android know how to fix, hopefully I run into you down there again soon and you can take a quick look. Just annoying stuff like the time and date in the android side of the system resets all the time, and mounting and unmounting SD and USB that I’m not up to scratch on. I’m considering getting a 3G card for it or setting it up to auto tether to my phone and running on network time updates.

Thanks for the PM mate I’ll forward it onto him now as I’d told him it was a pretty impressive piece of kit (considering we both run RNS510’s in our cars which aren’t bad as it is)
Yeah no worries at all mate. As soon as the weather plays a long I’ll be back down at the campgrounds and more than happy to have a look at it for you! As for the time/date yeah generally I just use the automatic network time setting (on phone and tablet) but without that you should be able to leave that unticked set it manually in the system settings/date andtime and it really should save and not reset unless it isn’t maintaining any form of power source when the ignition is off?
I’ll need to have a better look at the units mounting options for external devices and each android device handles it ever so slightly differently.

I thought it was pretty impressive how quickly the big FV jumps had popped up with the minimal snow actually.
Might not see the Blue Cow park at this rate.

Im going to throw it out there. i dont think i will go snow again this season.
The simple logistics of getting there on my days off, combined with travel time to and from work for crud snow.
Im going to wax my shit and put it away.

Haha I was actually going to push blame on to the “summer sucks” tshirt wearers for this prediciment but they are a sensitive bunch!

Big call but I can understand especially with the added distance now. Earn some $$$ and go on a OS snow trip maybe.
