Had an awesome weekend, riding tree runs with foot deep fresh snow was great.  Managed my first 360 flatland spin…then promptly stacked it when I tried it again

We hit Guthega for the first time this season today. Was great to get back there some speed runs down Bloody Mary and some fun the the trees at Karl’s and Shnaxl. Drove to smiggs after and found out the hard way that you can’t seem to get to piper when the link t bar isn’t running. Ended up hiking to the top and riding whatever fresh stuff I could find. Have earnt my dinner tonight!

I’ll be down tomorrow!

What’s it like riding in the rain…as in what does it do to the snow.  Planned to head down this weekend again but not sure if I should.

Depends on how keen you are. It’s cold and wet but there are no lines.

The snow is sticky so you have to hike a lot too. If you were going to have a break for 1 weekend Dan, I’d probably choose this one.

Yeh if I’m gonna head down it will be a last minute decision this weekend.

Snow just gets slushy on top..  But you get drenched after a few runs.. Waterproofing or not.. Maybe take a few garbo bags lol;! (I brought a $170 rain jacket from kathmandu - got it for $60) just incase it rains again this season when we are there.. We did 2 rain days last year.. First, in August through we would go blueciw and avoid it being higher up.. No dice.. Went down terminal.. Up summit chair, down side saddle, back up terminal chair and straight to the bar to dry off.. Then went home and made home made apple pie from scratch lol!

second day was our last weekend in Sept. First day was raining.. And there was a mini lake at the top of the v8! Lol we did 2 runs, got some drinks infront of the fire at jax’s then did 2 more runs.. Dried off again and called it a day. Lol (worst part is getting soaked right through!)

Rep’n BW in my BW hoodie naturally!

New park looks promising. You have to point it straight to clear the last one - lil daunting…

I’ll catch you tomorrow if you are down?
