hahah i reckon its a dope ad, its the type of ad that will get people that arent even intereted in surfing to pay attention, very smart advertising!
I recognise Steph’s arse and legs anywhere….
But if this is the case, and the unknown surfer is Steph Gilmore, then Roxy have done a good job of stirring the pot..
At first i was like “WTF” but the more i thought about it, and watched it (haha), the more i realised the aim they where going for

Spot on bruz!!
For a surfing ad, that’s crap. It felt like they were trying to convince me to buy a HTC phone while I was watching a PG porno…
True that!
Meh.. The only thing I find weird is she gets up and showers before she goes to have a morning surf..
Its genius really.
Create enough of a stir without going too overboard and you have yourself a winning ad campaign to help promote the fact the now how Stef Gilmore.
This.
All the predictable feminazi whining is just another case of irrational ovary acting.
ovary acting.
HAHAHA amazing!!! take that women!!
I don’t like it. And I know a lot of people will probably call me a feminist or jealous but I can handle that.
I spent my late teens and a good half of my twenties in the drifting, motorsport and rave scenes. Despite the fact there were a lot of immensely talented women out there, the only ones who seemed to get any recognition as drifters or djs were the ones who dressed and acted provocatively. some of them werent even any good! And I saw a hell of a lot of talented women get over looked because they didnt want to do that.
i don’t know much about surfing but if this chick is really that good why dont they just show that? why can’t she get noticed for her skills instead of her body? No one is ever going to take female athletes seriously if this is how they go about portraying them.

^^^agreed^^^^
Men get further by flirting and acting provocatively than men who don’t. It’s not restricted to women.
It’s the way of the world. It’s nature being reflected in a corporate environment.
Why does the add have her get out of bed and put a shirt on to walk across the room and the take a shirt off to take a shower before having a surf. The story line of the add hurts my brain.
I’m guessing the advertising company created the complaints.
While I agree with ya, Air!!!!!
Steph Gilmore is already a 5 Time World Champion of her chosen field!!!!!
She was also the one to make the decision to be a part of that advertising campaign, regardless if that is actually her in the footage or not!!!!!
While I totally agree that it is pretty tacky, you have to respect the rights of those involved to do what they want with their own lives, and also inevitably live with any repercussions that come with those decisions!!!!!
I really get the feeling these days, that most women are starting to perceive the majority of men as nothin but dirty perverts!!!!!
If men didn’t find women visually attractive initially, our species just wouldn’t survive!!!!! It’s a natural born instinct!!!!! (Or one that kicks in during Puberty, at the very least)
And I’ll most likely get shot down for sayin this, but if women don’t want to portray themselves as “Sex Objects”, then they are the only ones that have the control to do something about it!!!!!

I actually happen to agree with you there (mostly).
