Yeah, I agree that the GNU’s will be a better way to go!!!!!
Or maybe even somethin like the YES Greats, or even the DC Mega?????
Thanks again guys!
I have size 9.5 2011 Burton Hails. So I have the reduced footprint.
The 145mm waist on the riders choice does sound a little narrow. So if I went riders choice i’d maybe need the 154.5cm which has a 248mm?
The Park Pickle 153cm definitely sounds like a solid choice though. Watched some reviews and it seems pretty versatile. Any differences between the 2013 and the 2014? Other than graphics.
Mizu, the Greats is out because he wants rocker between his feet.
I think the Pickle 153 would be an awesome choice actually. Meets all your needs and definitely no issues with size. I’m not too sure about 2013 vs 2014, although not much changes from year to year usually, other than graphics.
Yeah, I was just shootin out a couple more options as I thought wilso was after somethin a bit “looser” than traditional camber style profile, and both the CamRock & the Lock and Load will give that somewhat!!!!!
Albeit not as much as a full Rocker, but no “catchier” than the C2 of boards like the Riders Choice!!!!!
Just my 20 cents worth as usual!!!!!
Ok cool. Just wondering because I noticed STM online have the 2013 listed for $495. Which seems a bit cheaper than the 2014’s around.
That’s right, the 2013 model will be on sale. Save your money and get the 2013 model. Put what you save towards other gear or lift tickets.
Spend the savins on a pair of these from STM for it!!!!!
* Edited cause I must’ve been smokin some of teacherboy’s stuff?????
Not sure if the shop carries Never Summer. The new 2014 Proto HD was the best board I’ve tried so far. Perfect flex and so much fun. If you haven’t set your mind on buying a specific board yet, definitely consider Never Summer Proto HD.
Thanks guys! Park Pickle ordered! Can’t wait to get on it next week! Yeewwww!
I think you’ve made a great decision, mate. Please let us know how it goes. Once again, welcome to the Boardworld community!
Wilso1983, i ride a Lobster Freestyle 157 2013 and to be honest i WISH i had this when i was at your stage because i was riding some PLANK that i bought off gumtree haha Balmoral Boards is an awsome place to get boards and information on which board is for you thats were i get all my stuff from, but i know the new CAPITA horrorscope is pretty flexi and looks forgiving, but my lobster is probably the best board i have ever ridden for kickers, i mean i havnt washed out on any of the jumps that im hitting, i.e Leichardt but actually hitting them no doing speed checks 10 times befor it haha and this sunday just past i got a good ride in some fresh, and it cruized threw it so if i was you i would check out the lobster freestyle, ( Sick graphic aswell)
ahha woops should have read that youve already purchased my bad i actually went into POW in jindy on sunday and had a feel of the pickle its feels amazing, noodle haven
Guys the pickle I ordered was out of stock and I was about to order it from a different store when I came across another board that may also fit the bill. Its the 2014 GNU Metal Guru in a 152cm. The differences are:
Pickle has a BTX profile, magnetraction, asymmetric heel side cut, sintered base, 153cm, 25.3cm waist, Flex rating 6
Metal Guru has EC2BTX profile, .5 magnetraction (which I think is a bit more mellow), sintered base, 152cm, 25.1 cm waist, Flex rating 5.
They both seem to fit my needs well. The pickle seems like a higher end board with the asymmetric tech. Have heard BTX can feel a little unstable when getting up some speed, though the reviews say it is pretty stable. BTX might also be forgiving for practicing switch and trying new things.
Thoughts?
Which do you think would suit me better?
You guys think I should stick with the pickle?
EC2BTX will be more stable than BTX at speed due to it having Cambered Sections in the Nose/Tail Ends!!!!!

This will be my next purchase for a board I think. Love the look of the boards, the style of riding they are developed for and how rude the team is.
Nice to hear a little review on it thanks!
