I haven’t been anywhere better than Shark Bay (about 850km north of Perth), staying in the homestead on Dirk Hartog Island.
We went for a walk last night with my sister who is over here visiting for a week from australia….freddy decided to take his fishing rod and cast at a few spots along the way.
2nd cast in the small boat harbour and he got this Pike. Not exactly a monster but he wasn’t really expecting to catch anything so it was fun!

we put him back ...I think the small ones around that size taste pretty good. I know that the bigger ones around 5kg just start to taste a bit ‘old’. haha
Time to dig up old thread back…
Yesterday I pulled my boat out of shed which need a good run, been sitting there for while.
Went to my local water for few hours to see what biting.

Hard to say this without something to give some scale to the size but they look sort of small for snapper.
Maybe I’m just spoilt.

for the record they went 43cm and 57cm length, next time I’ll put fishing brag mat… 
I was looking for the photo of the 8 snapper all that size.
