Apparently Charlie Whiting almost red flagged the race cos of all the punctures. It’ll be interesting to see what happens in Germany next weekend.

Yeah Kimi and Alonso were lucky to escape without shrapnel in their heads and Vernes save at 190mph was impressive!

This whole artificial excitement thing with woeful tyres, DRS etc is turning F1 into a farce. There’s just so much reliance on Aero these days as well.

I’d much rather they went with the water down the track idea!

new engines next year and Honda joining McLaren in 2015 should keep things interesting at least.

Tyres + vettel winning all the time + McLaren being completely uncompetitive has already dampened my enthusiasm for this season

Yeah ignore me…

And you know all the tips I have told people about domestic flights inside Japan…

I’ve got 4 or 5 days to kill before the camp starts and I want to see some other stuff whilst I’m there

Cool!

Have you booked flights? If not please hold off there are no good deals at the moment.

I would just stay in Tokyo the whole time for the 5 days.

Or buy a rail pass, not fly (but you have to fly to saporro and yeah that can be very costly!

Yeah McLaren have been woeful and Massa seems to be going backwards again. Alonso is outdriving his car, what a driver. Kimi is keeping it interesting pity they screwed him up with the tyre change last night.

You only have to watch footage of old races and it was side by side action, really exciting stuff. They have got it all down to such a science now that it’s more about what little winglet they add and then the turbulent air limits overtaking. Some of the tracks just haven’t kept up with the modern car either.

Nah havent booked flights yet,

This link will get your research started on domestic flights. There’s a table 3/4 of the way down listing the average price.

This is a link to information on the discount pass for tourists (what Kim has spoken about in the past)
