I never bother with happy valley it’s hardly an exciting run. I have heard they do have a bus shuttling people from Mt P which would be a better option than waiting at the T-bar.

i know they used to but i didnt see it happening last season, i just go straight happey valley T and down to leichardt T bar or Home rope tow

Well that was a fun two days.  Saturday went over to blue cow with what seemed to be everyone on the mountain.  Sunday headed over to the tower run which was an interesting combination of moguls dirt and rocks.  Broke my T-bar virginity in happy valley made it to the top first go.

Lots of people seem to be getting stretchered off the mountain.

Surprised I didn’t run into you (or you see me in my BW hoodie) at blue cow on Saturday!

Not enough snow combined with newbies doesn’t end well. Plus more people confined in a small space isn’t great either…

Yup was up for club training and the kids started at 7… First day was fine but teh second early start didnt impress monster too much. Now he’s got another 5 early starts this week.. eeergh and he has his mothers temper….

So we were on the hill at 6am both mornings. No man made snow so it was lovely hard packed.

Once the tubes started arriving from 8.30 and the mountains made open to the public it was simply sheer chaos.

Made the decision on the amount of people and sound of scrapping ice to stay in and drink coffee until Club finished at 1.

So so many people on the hill and crowded into one place. School holidays is going to be a bitch and Blue Cow is getting quite patchy.

Doesn’t sound much different to Thredbo really. But over here it isn’t that crowded.
Though we didn’t ski on Sunday - didn’t even look at the hill.

FYI - the road is closed between Canberra and Cooma right now.

There are a couple of alternate ways you can go if you need to.

Let me know if you are travelling that way.

I’ll be driving home around lunchtime, will it be open then?

No idea…

Estimate at 10am were 3 hours of closure.

I would hold off if I was you!

Interestingly the incident doesn’t show on NSW Live Traffic. It must be in the ACT (which is stupid as it is majorly affecting NSW traffic!)

I suggest liking snowfm facebook for updates. https://www.facebook.com/977SnowFM?hc_location=stream
