So I was playing around with some flights tonight (actually dreaming… LOL
And something interesting has happened on Qantas’ website!
You can FINALLY put Saporro as a destination - whoo Hooo…
Now I didn’t get too excited until I entered some date 14 - 28 Feb.
It came out with the following $2140 rtn SYD/CTS/SYD (i am not suggesting you ever pay this much!!)
But if I put in the same dates to tokyo (to test that the fare above has the special domestic ticket I keep harping on about)
And the same flight to tokyo come in at $2136!!!! $4 difference.
And on the same dates the jetstar flights come to $2503!!!!! To tokyo! You would still have to get an internal flight to Saporro!
So yay to qantas to adding Saporro to their online booking system, and doing it correctly!!!! No need to use a TA in the future!
So are these about what u normally pay ti sapporo? Having only being there once 2 seasons ago we got a quantas jal deal in the last 2 weeks of feb for $1050!
It was a special obviously but those prices look way high.
My trip this yr to osaka return from new yrs to mid jan was $1200
No deebs, I have never paid more than $1200 rtn from Syd through to saporro.
But now you don’t have to book through a TA to get the deal.
The above was showing people that you can get fares lower on Qantas. Even we it is stupidly expensive, jet star was even more expensive.
Ahh cool. As if youd jetstar when quantas is better or even a little more.
Ive heard rumours of shinkansen from honshu across/under to hokkaido. Be a good way to get the whole japan snow scene done if you have time.
Jetstar have some sales atm…
http://www.jetstar.com/au/en/special-offers#/?from=&to=tokyo&date;=&sale=international_domestic&price;=
Brisbane to Tokyo/Osaka $362 ish each way… although you will have to get domestic flights to Sapparo etc when you get there.
Yep so check those cost before booking!!
fuck so cheap $759 flying on 12th feb and coming back on 23rd…
so cheap.
edited dates and price
Not really Lano!
$500 IMO would be cheap…

lol okay queen of finding cheap flights where did u get that ?
cheap considering how much i paid for the flights last time i went.
Usually when they have the 2 for 1 sales or big yearly specials. I don’t bother looking any more though as they are never in my school holiday travel period.
I’ve told myself I’m not going anywhere this season so I can soak up a full Aussie Summer (and get planning a America/Canada trip).
Have to admit to double checking this sales travel dates I reckon it wouldn’t take much to suck me back in again!

I never said you could find a fare like that…
Although I think you can but since i would never fly jetstar to japan I don’t even bother looking.
Please note its just a jetstar/japan thing… TJ reckons I am a Qantas loyalist or something… not the case!
When you can get flights for around a $1000 with qantas I just don’t think jetstar is worth it.
I on the other hand, would prefer to save $200 and take the cheap-o version
Its not saving $200 if you have to pay $500 for domestic flights!
Worth remembering not everyone chooses to go to Hokkaido though.
