Could be the new beginners bowl at Friday Flat. The above looks vaguely similar to one of the photos I’ve seen of it.

There’s a new magic carpet at the top of Friday Flat. Judging from the direction of the sunset in the photo, it could be the magic carpet in the photos.
Red circled area is just Sundowner or bottom of Highnoon. Photo taken from Media center on top of Fridays restaurant.
Giddy Up is the new area skiers right of where EDI unloads and can’t be seen in photo.

What better way to celebrate winter than to look back on generations of snow lovers and the amazing evolution of skiing and boarding in Australia. Combining classic cinematography shot in Thredbo in the 1960s, some incredible moments captured in the last few years along with inspirational words from Thredbo’s very own snowcat groomer, Bernie Rosow, we’ve created a video that celebrates all things snow and Thredbo whilst also reminding us why it’s important to live our dreams.

It snowed (real snow) as we walked back from parking the car, then the sky cleared after 5 mins.
45min later the clouds came over, temps dropped and it looks like its going to snow all night.
Saw one good mate as I drove through the village.
Another even closer friend while PP and I had a snowball fight at 10:30pm.
Apparently last night dropped to -11
Soooooo tired, lots to do tomoz. Didn’t unpack snow gear. Gotta sleep.
WINTER IS HERE!
Went to thredbo for the first time today 
Rode for the first time today. Pretty much just sliding on a good base ATM. Any wind will turn it to solid ice it’s firm and very hard. PP is calling it ice - her but would know, it only took thre good falls on it to have her in tears.
This year is about 2weeks behind other seasons. One good snowstorm will change that.
It’s better than 2010 (pre 22nd June).

I scored a job today - within an hour of leaving PP at her lesson.
An hour after that I was buying a season pass at early bird pricing. By 2pm I pulled PP out of her lesson.
