Yeah it’s a bit sad, but still early days. Would have been much better if not for that rain a couple of weekends ago.
here, look at this to cheer you up a bit.
Up top is slowly filling in, I could see the poor bastards in the instructors hiring clinic up there trying to score a place in this years line up.
Cams down low look crap :(
Yeah it’s not looking great up there.
Positive note, it’s still June 15. Lots can happen.
True.
I was however hoping to get up there before I go away, doesn’t look like that will happen now.
Does anyone know approx how much a taxi from Harrietville to big d costs? and if you have to pay resort entry by catching a cab up the hill?
I’d suggest calling Hoys on the number provided here - http://www.hoysskis.com.au/travel/

I think so!! Malvern East? This could be dangerous!
Pretty much!
I’m Caulfield North.
Anyone got the low-down on the Harrietville road situation? A friend booked some accom in July via Hotham Accomodation and was advised to go up via the Omeo side. I had read there was road damage but thought that was all under control.
They’ve cut a massive section out of the hill right near the meg. The road is open however it will be interesting to see how it holds up in a big storm.
I drove up it the weekend before opening weekend when we had that heap of rain, it was fine minus a couple of logs that had slipped down the hill and almost on to the road.
I wouldn’t be stressing about taking the Harrietville approach unless there’s a heap of rain/snow forecast.
