Jindabyne camping 2013

I take a couple of hangers and hang my gear in the camper overnight, usually it’s not so damp anyway.

Go buy a $25/30 board lock… its handy on the mountain.. (one of our group had his board taken from mid station.. luckily after a nice long walk down fv.. he found it at the bottom.. near the perisher centre.. (thinking it might have been a case of mistaken identity?) but since then we lock our boards..(and friends boards with ours too)...

Reason I say this.. when we stay in the Jindy inn and there are heaps of randoms.. and we have to use the drying room.. because our gear is too wet to dry in the rooms closet with the heater on..  I lock my gear with the snowboard lock.. (down one arm of the jacket and either down the pants leg.. or through all the belt loops..  then loop it over the hanging rod..

Always lock out boards up when we go into midstation etc, would hate for a board to go walk about.

We boarded in the rain twice.. once in August on blue cow.. tought higher up it might be cold enough to snow.. bad idea.. we went down to the summit chair, from the tube terminal.. up summit.. down side saddle.. up terminal and straight to the blue cow pub.. we were drenched!!

Then again on our last weekend.. did a Fri/sat end of Sept.. and it rained on the Friday.. did 2 runs on the v8, went into jax.. sat in front of the fire.. dried off.. had a few drinks and ate.. did 2 more runs a few hours later.. then dried off again and went back to the accom..

Lol I now have a rain jacket that’s a really light shell.. (and folds away into its own pocket) and rain pants… just in case it does rain again..

That would be soaking saturday H0z

I was in Thredbo for Verve in the snow. Did one run (yeah and paid a day pass for it) was drinking verve by a fire by 10.30am!

Weirdly the next was one of the best days I have had in Aus.

It rain most of the morning and then the lifts went on lightening hold and most people went home.

It turned to snow early afternoon and bucketed down and I skied boot deep with no one around. Epic.

Loved it! Pitching the tent next time would definitely make it more comfortable though as things got pretty cramped in my car by the end of it and getting dressed/undressed in the open wasn’t optimal for anyone involved.

Yes DRC - you loved it…

I am waiting to hear from Dylan, NBG and Deano…

It seems they liked my four walls and a furnace more… even though i wasn’t there!
